Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Life ONE X / L132L — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLG13J22)
This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer replacement cell for the BLU Life ONE X and L132L smartphones. It matches the OEM part number TLG13J22 and slots into the same physical envelope as the factory battery. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or has swollen.
- Life ONE X and L132L compatibility: Both models run the same motherboard voltage rail, share the same connector pinout, and accept the TLG13J22 cell format — that is why one cell covers both. The BMS on each model reads the same charge termination voltage, so no firmware mismatch occurs.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full discharge on the Life ONE X platform. The BMS accepted charge current without tripping, voltage held steady under combined screen and modem load, and termination cut off cleanly at 4.35V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve for the new cell before high-current charging begins — skipping this step is why many users see erratic percentages on day one.
Why the Life ONE X reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Life ONE X uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from accumulated charge and discharge data. When you replace the cell, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge curve. The phone keeps using the old curve, so the percentage reading drifts — often showing full charge until a sudden drop. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge to 4.35V resets the IC against the new cell and brings the percentage readout back in line.
Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under combined load — mobile data active, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's sag characteristics, so it does not predict the cliff. Run the recalibration cycle described above, and check that the SIM is not stuck in a high-power search loop, which spikes current draw and triggers the cutoff earlier than expected.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Life ONE X shuts off at around 20% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
It is almost certainly a fuel gauge calibration gap, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter IC is still using the discharge curve mapped to your old battery, so it does not catch the voltage cliff the new cell hits under modem and screen load. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
The phone barely gets warm during normal use, but heats up near the battery when charging the new cell — should I be worried?
A new Li-Polymer cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes the same current into higher resistance, and that difference exits as heat for the first few cycles. Keep the phone out of a case during charging for the first three charge cycles and charge at room temperature. By cycle three or four, impedance drops and the warmth settles to normal levels — if it does not, check that the charge port is not delivering voltage spikes from a worn cable.
The BLU Life ONE X will not power on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what do I do?
Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-initialisation threshold, after which the phone boots normally. If the screen shows no charge indicator after an hour on the wall charger, the cell discharged too deeply for recovery.
