Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

K-Touch T93 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (T93)

This is a 3.7V, 2200mAh (8.14Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the K-Touch T93 smartphone. It fits directly into the T93 and restores charging capacity when the original cell has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 75.32 × 59.80 × 4.47mm — verify against your original before installing.

  • K-Touch T93 fitment: The T93 uses a fixed connector pinout and BMS handshake tied to this specific cell voltage rail. Swapping to a different capacity or voltage breaks the charge IC communication and prevents the fuel gauge from reading correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the T93 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, and coulomb counter registration was confirmed before the cell shipped.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its calibration curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated counter — preventing erratic percentage readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the T93 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load that the old curve did not predict. The phone interprets this as a valid operating voltage right up until the cell can no longer sustain it under draw. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter relearn the actual curve of the new cell — after that, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.

T93 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone will show no response to the power button or charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger rather than a USB port and leave it for 15–20 minutes without touching the power button. The charge IC on most T93 units will trickle current into the cell until it recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 3.0V. If the charging LED does not activate within 30 minutes, the cell voltage may be too low to recover — check with a multimeter across the battery terminals before assuming a fault elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

My K-Touch T93 shuts off randomly at around 25% battery — is the new cell faulty?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter inside the T93 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, worn cell, and the new cell's voltage drops faster under modem and screen load than the old curve predicts. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge remaps to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

The T93 shows erratic battery percentages jumping up and down after I installed the replacement — what's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell discharge curve and overshooting its estimates in both directions. This is normal behaviour for the first one to three charge cycles after a cell swap. Do not top up the charge repeatedly during this period — short charging sessions feed bad data to the coulomb counter and extend the erratic readings. Let the phone complete at least one full discharge-charge cycle from under 5% to 100%, and the percentage display will stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my T93 right after I fitted the replacement battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

The proprietary charge protocol on the T93 requires the BMS to confirm cell state before authorising high-current charging. On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC defaults to a lower current limit until it has enough data to trust the cell's internal resistance profile. This is a one-cycle hold, not a permanent fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charging should reinstate automatically once the BMS has a baseline reading from the new cell.
