Fits Lenovo Vibe K6 Plus and K6 NOTE, replaces OEM part BL270.
3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the same capacity as the original battery.
Connector slides straight into the slot with the contact pins facing the device logic board.
We ran full discharge-charge cycles on a test unit; the BMS accepted input without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Vibe K6 Plus / K6 Note — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL270)

This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo Vibe K6 Plus and K6 Note (2016). It carries OEM part number BL270 and slots into the same bay as the original cell. Physical dimensions are 80.30 × 65.90 × 4.20mm — verify clearance before ordering if your unit has any aftermarket back housing.

  • K6 Plus and K6 Note compatibility: Both models share the same 3.85V battery bay, BL270 connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The cell and protection circuit are interchangeable across both devices without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Vibe K6 Note unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC, held cutoff at 4.35V on full charge, and tripped undervoltage protection cleanly at the low-voltage threshold with no false shutdowns during the test cycles.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — otherwise percentage readings will drift early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vibe K6 Plus after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged original. The fuel gauge IC on the K6 Plus is still reading the old curve, so it reports 25% remaining at a voltage the new cell actually considers near-floor. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off instantly. One full discharge cycle — down to automatic shutdown, then a full uninterrupted charge — forces the coulomb counter to resync to the new cell's actual discharge profile. After that cycle, the reported percentage and real capacity will track correctly.

Phone will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent damage to a deeply discharged cell. The phone will show no charge indicator and appear completely dead. Apply a charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a low rate until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo Vibe K6 Plus keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new BL270 — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage as "25% remaining" when the cell is actually near its low-voltage floor. Under any spike in load — modem handshake, screen brightness jump — voltage dips below the BMS cutoff and the phone kills power instantly. Run one complete discharge cycle down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell's actual curve.

Fast charging stopped working on my K6 Note after I swapped in this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the K6 Note sometimes defaults to standard current because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed a full negotiation handshake with the phone's USB charging protocol. This is not a defect — it resolves after one complete charge cycle to 100%. Plug in using the original charger and cable, let it charge fully without interruption, then unplug and retest fast charging on the second cycle.

The battery percentage on my Vibe K6 Plus jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then skips to 45%, then back up.

Erratic percentage jumps point directly to the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell it has never seen before. The coulomb counter lost its reference data when the old cell was removed, and it is estimating state-of-charge from open-circuit voltage alone until it completes a full learning cycle. Do not top up or partial-charge during this process — let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge in a single uninterrupted session to 100%. After that cycle, the fuel gauge will have a complete discharge curve and percentage reporting will stabilise.
