Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL256)
This is a 3.8V, 3200mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite smartphone. It uses OEM part number BL256 and fits several Lenovo variants including the K51c78, PB1-750N, and Lemon X3 Lite. Swap this cell when the original no longer holds enough charge to get through a full day.
- Vibe X3 Lite variant compatibility: The K51c78, PB1-750N, and Lemon X3 Lite share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BL256 BMS handshake — so one cell covers all of them without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Vibe X3 Lite mainboard. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC, and the protection circuit tripped as expected at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. The Vibe X3 Lite's modem and display draw bursts of current that pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. A new cell has a steeper discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to, so the mismatch is worse on first install. Run one full discharge cycle down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and the shutdowns typically stop.
Phone reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the Vibe X3 Lite stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, the IC still references that old curve, so the percentage shown is inaccurate — often jumping several points or freezing near full. The fix is a forced recalibration: drain the phone fully until it shuts off on its own, then charge it to 100% in one unbroken session with the screen off. After this cycle, the IC maps its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual voltage range and percentage readings stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fast charging stopped working after I put the new BL256 in — is something wrong with the replacement cell?
This is expected on the first cycle after a cell swap. The Vibe X3 Lite's charge IC uses a handshake with the BMS to authorise high-current charging, and a new cell with a fresh BMS state sometimes fails that handshake until it has completed one full standard charge. Plug in with fast charge disabled, let it reach 100%, then re-enable fast charging. That single cycle is usually enough for the charge IC to accept the new cell at full current.
My Vibe X3 Lite gets noticeably warm near the battery for the first few charges — is the cell faulty?
A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled a few times. The charge IC pushes the same current into higher resistance, which generates more heat until the cell's impedance drops over the first three to five cycles. We measured surface temperatures on the bench during this break-in period and they stayed within safe operating range. If the warmth continues past the fifth charge cycle or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the battery connector is fully seated and no debris is bridging the contacts.
The Vibe X3 Lite won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone will not power on and may not respond to a charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger with at least a 1A output and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the charge indicator still shows nothing after one hour, check the charging cable and port first before assuming the cell is damaged.
