Fits Nokia Tesla RM-1141 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number BV-L4A.
3.8V at 2200mAh delivers baseline power for calling, messaging, and active app use.
Connector seats flat against the phone's battery slot with standard Li-ion tab orientation.
We bench-tested the BMS through three full cycles; fuel gauge IC initialized correctly on first discharge.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling fast charging — this recalibrates the phone's coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia Tesla / RM-1141 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BV-L4A)

This is a 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Nokia Tesla (RM-1141). It fits the original BV-L4A slot and restores full calling, messaging, and app function to devices where the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Capacity is 2200mAh — matching OEM specification.

  • Tesla / RM-1141 fitment: Both model identifiers reference the same hardware platform. The BV-L4A connector, cell dimensions (65.05 × 60.15 × 4.60mm), and 3.8V nominal rail are shared across the Tesla and RM-1141 variant — the BMS handshake and charge IC expect identical parameters from both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and load discharge on the Tesla platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through constant-current and constant-voltage phases cleanly at standard 5V input.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting this battery, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. The fuel gauge IC recalibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step often causes erratic percentage readings in the first few days of use.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nokia Tesla after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. The fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge profile, so it reports 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the modem and screen load threshold. Under high-draw moments — active call, screen-on, LTE ping — voltage collapses faster than the gauge expects and the device shuts off as a protective measure. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard charge speed forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new cell's actual voltage curve, and the phantom shutdowns typically stop after that cycle.

Nokia Tesla not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BV-L4A shipped or sat unused long enough, cell voltage can drop below 2.5V — the threshold where the BMS enters lockout to prevent deep-discharge damage. In lockout, the phone shows no charging indicator and will not boot. Connect the device to a low-current 5V charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell from below 2.5V up to the recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes. Once the screen shows a charge indicator, let it reach at least 3.6V before powering on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Nokia Tesla show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new BV-L4A?

The fuel gauge IC inside the Tesla was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell — it doesn't automatically adjust when a new cell goes in. The coulomb counter is tracking charge flow against the wrong reference, so the percentage displayed drifts from actual cell state. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge re-anchors to the new cell's curve and percentage accuracy returns.

Fast charging stopped working on my Nokia Tesla after I replaced the battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes withholds the fast-charge handshake until it has completed one standard-rate charge and confirmed BMS stability on the new cell. This is normal behaviour and not a fault in the replacement battery. Charge the device once fully at standard 5V speed. Fast charging typically re-enables on the second charge cycle once the charge IC has logged a clean full-charge event against the new BMS response.

My Nokia Tesla feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new cell at full factory capacity has slightly higher internal impedance than a partially cycled cell, which causes the charge IC to dissipate a little more heat during the constant-current phase. This warmth is normal for the first three to five charge cycles and reduces as impedance settles. If the device becomes hot to the touch or the charger disconnects early, check that you are using a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A source — higher-voltage adapters can push the charge IC beyond its thermal comfort range on a new high-impedance cell.
