Fits Sanyo 6200 and 6400 smartphones, replacing OEM battery CS-SY6200SL.
3.7V and 750mAh capacity restores full talk and standby time on this device.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single retention clip.
We charged through a full cycle on a 6200 unit; BMS accepted standard charge profile without fault codes.
On first power-up after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy messaging or calling — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sanyo SCP-6200 / SCP-6400 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 750mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the factory battery in the Sanyo SCP-6200 and SCP-6400 smartphones. It restores power to a phone that no longer holds a charge or fails to turn on. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • SCP-6200 and SCP-6400 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. A single cell fits both without modification or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge on the SCP-6200 platform. The BMS accepted charge current without fault, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SCP-6200

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under modem or display load — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge IC did not predict. The phone shuts down to protect the hardware even though the reported percentage still looks safe. It is common on replacement cells before the coulomb counter has completed a full calibration cycle. Run one uninterrupted discharge to 0% and a full charge to 100% to correct the IC's model.

Phone not powering on after the battery sat in storage

If the replacement cell shipped in a deep-discharged state, the BMS may lock out charging below 2.5V per cell. The phone will appear completely dead — no charge indicator, no boot screen. Connect it to a wall charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, then normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sanyo SCP-6200 shows 25% battery and then just dies — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is likely fine, but the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When voltage sags under modem or screen load, the phone hits a voltage cliff the IC did not anticipate and cuts out. Run one full uninterrupted cycle — drain to shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — and the coulomb counter will remap its model to the new cell.

The OS is jumping between battery percentages — sometimes 60%, then suddenly 45%, then back up.

Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating after the cell swap. The IC's stored discharge model no longer matches the new cell's actual impedance and voltage curve. Do not top up or interrupt charging during this period. Complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle and the percentage will stabilise.

My SCP-6400 won't turn on at all after I installed the replacement battery — the screen is completely blank.

A fully blank screen on a new cell usually means the BMS has locked out below its minimum recovery threshold of 2.5V per cell, which happens when a cell ships deeply discharged. Plug directly into a wall adapter — not a USB hub or PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will push trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold and the phone will power on normally once voltage recovers.
