MOBI DXR / DXR Touch — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (70216)

This is a 3.7V 1700mAh Li-ion replacement for the MOBI DXR and DXR Touch baby monitor parent unit. OEM part number 70216. It restores power to the parent unit when the original cell no longer holds charge.

• DXR and DXR Touch parent units: Both models use the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion pack with the same physical footprint and connector orientation. The BMS in each parent unit reads cell voltage directly — the 70216 pack reports state-of-charge the same way the original does.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on this cell and confirmed the BMS accepts the pack without fault codes. The protection circuit trips correctly at low-voltage cutoff and allows full recharge from flat.
• Re-pair after a dead-flat swap: If the parent unit's battery drained completely before replacement, the DXR loses its wireless link to the camera unit. After fitting this battery, power the parent unit on and manually re-pair it with the camera — the pairing is not stored independently of the battery state on these units.

When the DXR parent unit loses power completely — either from a flat battery or a battery swap — it drops the wireless pairing with the camera unit. The radio module resets to an unpaired state on first boot. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Power on the parent unit, navigate to the pairing menu, and follow the on-screen steps to re-link the camera unit.

Running the DXR parent unit overnight with the screen active is a sustained high draw on a 1700mAh cell. The display and IR receiver together pull significantly more current than audio-only mode. Enable the screen timeout setting in the parent unit menu so the display goes dark between alerts. This keeps the cell well above the low-voltage cutoff through a full night.
