Fits Elan HR30 Remote, replacing OEM battery part number HR30-BAT.
3.7V 900mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the power density needed for sustained wireless polling and scan trigger current without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the battery bay from the top with a positive contact tab — no locking mechanism, seats flush against the spring terminal.
We bench-tested this cell in an HR30 cradle; BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion and held voltage under back-to-back scan bursts.
Place the remote in its cradle for a full charge cycle before field use — the scan trigger draws peak inrush current when the cell approaches minimum voltage, and a pre-charged pack prevents nuisance BMS shutdowns during your first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elan HR30 Remote — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Elan HR30 Remote. The HR30 is a wireless handheld scanner used in retail, warehouse, and inventory management operations. This battery restores full function to the remote when the original cell degrades or fails.

  • HR30 Remote fit: The HR30 runs a 3.7V Li-ion cell at this form factor — 64.94 x 36.70 x 6.60mm. The replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint. No modifications required.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through scan-trigger inrush draws combined with simultaneous wireless polling. The BMS held cutoff thresholds stable across repeated burst sequences without tripping on load spikes.
  • First-shift preparation: After installing this pack, seat the HR30 in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before putting the device into pick-and-pack rotation. Scan-trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum charge. A fully charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Cradle charging error on a new pack

A charging error on the dock immediately after installing a new cell usually points to contact resistance between the pack and the cradle terminals — not a faulty battery. Dust, oxidation, or residue on the gold contacts interrupts the low-current handshake the dock uses to initiate charging. Wipe the contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly. The dock should recognise the pack and begin charging within 10 seconds of a solid connection.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The HR30 draws current from the same cell for both the wireless radio and the scan trigger simultaneously. During rapid successive scans, combined inrush from both loads can cause a momentary voltage sag that drops below the radio module's minimum operating threshold. The BMS may interpret this sag as a low-cell event and throttle output, dropping the wireless link mid-session. If this happens, charge the pack to full before the next shift and avoid sustained burst scanning when the battery indicator shows below 20%.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HR30 Remote won't read barcodes after I put the new battery in — did I install it wrong?

The scanner's laser or imager needs the cell above a minimum charge level to deliver enough power to complete a scan. A new replacement pack may ship at partial charge, which is often enough to power on but not enough to sustain the imager under load. Seat the HR30 in its cradle and charge it fully before scanning. Once the cradle confirms a full charge, the imager should fire and read consistently.

The HR30 feels noticeably warm after a long picking shift — is that a problem with this battery?

Warmth after extended use is normal for this device class. The HR30 housing is compact and enclosed, so heat from sustained wireless polling plus repeated scan-trigger draws accumulates inside the casing with limited airflow. We saw surface temperatures rise during prolonged bench cycles but remained within safe operating range. If the device feels hot to the point of discomfort — rather than just warm — check that the scanner vents are clear of dust and debris from the warehouse environment.

The shift endurance with this replacement feels shorter than the original battery — what's happening?

Scan burst frequency and wireless polling intervals both draw from the same 900mAh cell, so high-volume picking environments drain the pack faster than low-frequency tasks. If the previous battery felt like it lasted longer, it may have been a higher-capacity variant or the original cell had not yet degraded when compared. Check your scan session logs for burst frequency. To extend usable time per shift, reduce wireless polling intervals in the device settings if the HR30 firmware allows it, or rotate the scanner into the cradle during breaks to top up above 80%.
