This 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Vokkero GUARD CHX1 and related GUARD series handheld barcode scanners. It fits the GUARD FCE001-ST, GUARD FCE02, and GUARD FCE03 alongside additional models in the same family. Capacity is 900mAh (3.33Wh), matching the original cell specification.

• GUARD series platform fit: These scanners share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake across the CHX1, FCE001-ST, FCE02, and FCE03. The voltage rail is 3.7V nominal throughout the range, so one cell format serves the whole family without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger bursts combined with active wireless polling — the two highest simultaneous draws this device sees. The BMS held stable cutoff thresholds and returned to charge acceptance cleanly after each deep cycle.
• First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle for a full charge cycle before picking with it. Scan-trigger inrush current peaks hardest when the cell is near minimum voltage, and a fully charged cell prevents the BMS from tripping on the first heavy burst of the shift.

A new cell shipped at storage charge, typically between 3.6V and 3.8V. Some GUARD cradles read this as a fault state rather than a normal charge-start condition and flash an error LED. Wipe the battery contact pads with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly until the dock clicks, then wait 90 seconds. Most cradles re-poll the pack and resume normal charging once contact resistance drops below the dock's threshold.

The GUARD series transmits scan data over a wireless link at the same moment the imager fires — both loads hit the cell simultaneously. When the cell voltage sags under this combined draw, the radio module loses enough headroom to maintain its connection and drops the link momentarily. This becomes more frequent as a cell ages and internal resistance rises, but it also appears with an uncharged new pack. Charge the battery fully to 4.2V before the first shift and the sag stays within the radio module's operating window.
