Fits Symbol MC1000 barcode scanner, replaces OEM battery BTRY-MC10EAB00.
3.7V and 1800mAh capacity delivers consistent scan trigger power without voltage sag during rapid barcode reads.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a locking tab that seats flush against the scanner body.
We bench-tested this cell in an MC1000 cradle — BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage steady through full discharge cycles.
Install the pack in the cradle for one complete charge cycle before field use; scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell nears minimum voltage and a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS shutdowns during your first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Symbol MC1000 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTRY-MC10EAB00)

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery for the Symbol MC1000 handheld barcode scanner. It fits the MC1000-KH0LA2U0000, MC1000-KU0LA2U000R, MC1000-KU0LA2U000R-KIT, and related MC1000 variants. The OEM part number is BTRY-MC10EAB00.

  • MC1000 series compatibility: All MC1000 variants share the same 3.7V battery bay, contact layout, and BMS handshake protocol — this pack slots into any unit in that family without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through scan trigger inrush events and sustained wireless polling loads. The BMS held cutoff thresholds in line with Symbol spec and did not trip under combined radio and imager draw.
  • First-shift preparation: After installing this pack, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before putting it into pick-and-pack. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum voltage — a fully charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the opening shift.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

The MC1000 cradle reads battery state through the contact pins on the base of the pack. If contact resistance is too high — from dust, oils, or a misaligned seating — the dock interprets it as a fault and flags a charging error rather than starting a charge cycle. This is not a defective battery. Remove the pack, wipe the gold contact strips on both the battery and the cradle slot with a dry cloth, reseat firmly until the pack clicks, and check that the charge LED changes state within 30 seconds.

Scanner loses wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The MC1000 draws simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio during a fast scan sequence. When the cell is below roughly 3.5V, that combined inrush can cause a momentary voltage sag that the BMS reads as an under-voltage condition, dropping the radio link to protect the cell. The fix is to not run the pack below the 20% charge indicator before reseating in the cradle. If dropouts are happening mid-shift on a new pack, charge to full and retest — a pack that has never been fully initialised will sag earlier than a properly conditioned one.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MC1000 scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I swapped the battery — what's wrong?

The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire consistently, and a new pack pulled straight from packaging may not have enough charge to sustain the laser or imager on the first trigger pull. Place the scanner in its cradle and charge fully before use. Once at full charge, the imager draw stays within the BMS safe window and scan reads stabilise. If the problem continues after a full charge, wipe the battery contacts and reseat.

The cradle is flashing a charge error on the new battery — is the pack faulty?

In most cases it is not the pack. The MC1000 cradle communicates through the gold contact pins on the battery base, and any dust or oil on those contacts raises resistance enough for the dock to log a fault instead of starting a charge cycle. Remove the battery, wipe both the pack contacts and the cradle contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the pack firmly until it clicks into place. The charge LED should change state within 30 seconds of correct seating.

The new battery is warm after a full warehouse shift — is that normal?

The MC1000 housing is compact and encloses the battery tightly, so heat from sustained scan-plus-radio draw has nowhere to go. Warmth after a full shift is normal as long as the pack is not hot to the touch. If it is uncomfortably hot, check how frequently the wireless radio is polling — higher polling rates increase current draw continuously, not just during scans. Reducing poll frequency or rotating packs mid-shift keeps cell temperature within the 3.7V Li-ion safe operating range.
