Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Pack YBT-6C — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement pack built to OEM part number YBT-6C. It measures 53.30 × 34.00 × 6.50mm — a compact cell format used in a range of rechargeable electronics. Fit model is unspecified, so confirm your original pack carries part number YBT-6C before ordering.

  • YBT-6C form factor: This pack matches the original cell dimensions and voltage rail at 3.7V nominal. Devices using YBT-6C typically enforce a voltage window check on startup — the replacement cell must sit within that window or the host will reject it before drawing any load.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a cell analyser. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge to 4.2V without triggering protection. Capacity measured within spec at 1100mAh on the second cycle.
  • First-cycle calibration: If your device has an integrated fuel gauge, run one complete charge-discharge cycle immediately after install. The gauge IC recalibrates its state-of-charge model against the new cells — skipping this step causes the indicator to read inaccurately until a full cycle completes.

Pack not reaching full charge on the first cycle

New Li-ion cells often ship at storage voltage — typically 3.6V to 3.8V — rather than full charge. The charge IC in the host device may apply a reduced current on the first charge pass as the cell voltage climbs from storage level. This is a normal conditioning behaviour and not a fault. After the first full cycle completes, subsequent charges should reach 4.2V and hold capacity correctly.

Device rejecting the pack immediately after swap

Some devices that use the YBT-6C format run a voltage range check or firmware authentication handshake at power-on. If the pack is at storage voltage when inserted, the device may flag it as out-of-range and refuse to boot. Charge the pack fully via an OEM-compatible charger before inserting it, then power-cycle the device. If rejection persists after a full charge, verify the replacement part number matches YBT-6C exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My device shows the battery as low or nearly empty right after I installed the new YBT-6C pack — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong. Replacement packs ship at storage voltage, usually around 3.6V to 3.8V, which reads as low on most fuel gauges. Charge the pack fully before trusting any capacity indicator. The display should normalise once the cells reach 4.2V.

The pack feels warm during the first charge — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first charge is normal for a fresh Li-ion cell moving out of storage voltage. The charge IC applies full conditioning current for the first cycle, which generates slightly more heat than subsequent charges. If the pack becomes hot to the touch or the device cuts the charge early, stop and inspect the contacts — but gentle warmth alone is not a fault.

The capacity indicator on my device still reads incorrectly after a full charge — what resets it?

The fuel gauge IC needs a complete charge-to-discharge cycle to recalibrate its state-of-charge model against the new cells. Charge the pack fully to 4.2V, then run the device until it shuts off on low-voltage cutoff. Recharge fully after that. One complete cycle is usually enough for the gauge to track accurately.
