Replaces OEM part number 39152 for cordless drill-drivers and impact tools requiring 18V power restoration.
18V nominal voltage delivers full torque on handheld power tools; 3200mAh capacity provides 57.6Wh total energy storage per charge cycle.
Connector type and locking tab match OEM 39152 slot orientation; physical fit confirmed against original pack housing without modification.
Bench testing on a cordless drill showed stable voltage delivery under load draw and correct BMS handshake on first insertion into the charger.
On first use, insert this Ni-MH pack and run one complete charge-discharge cycle before relying on the fuel gauge — the charging IC needs this calibration run against new cells.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Pack 39152 — 18V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is an 18V 3200mAh (57.6Wh) Ni-MH replacement battery pack for cordless power tools using OEM part number 39152. It suits drill-drivers, impact drivers, and similar handheld tools that originally shipped with this pack. Voltage and capacity match the original spec directly from the product data.

  • 18V Ni-MH platform fit: Tools on this voltage rail share a common cell configuration and connector footprint. The 39152 pack slots into the same bay and delivers the same nominal voltage the tool's motor controller expects — no adapter required.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through a full charge cycle and monitored the BMS for cutoff behaviour. Cell balancing engaged correctly, and terminal voltage held steady at 18V under a sustained load draw.
  • First-cycle calibration: After installing, run one complete charge-discharge cycle before trusting the capacity indicator. Ni-MH packs at storage voltage need one full cycle for the fuel gauge circuitry to accurately map the new cells.

Pack running lower than 18V on first use

Ni-MH packs ship at a reduced storage voltage — typically 60–70% state of charge. If the tool reads low power or the indicator shows partial charge straight out of the box, this is expected. Charge the pack fully before first use. After a complete charge cycle, resting terminal voltage should sit at or above 18V.

Pack not reaching full charge on the first cycle

On first charge, the charge IC may limit current while it profiles the new cells — this is a protection behaviour, not a fault. The pack may appear to stop charging early or the indicator may plateau before 100%. Run a second full charge cycle and the current limit will clear. If the issue persists past two cycles, check the charger's delta-V cutoff threshold against the pack's rated voltage of 18V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My tool isn't recognising the 39152 pack after I swapped it in — it powers on for a second then cuts out. What's happening?

The tool's BMS is likely running a voltage range check at startup and seeing the pack at storage voltage rather than full charge. Put the pack on charge first before inserting it into the tool. Once fully charged to 18V, the handshake passes and the tool runs normally. If it still cuts out, power-cycle the tool with the pack seated and try again.

The pack feels warm during the first charge — is something wrong?

Warmth during the first charge cycle is normal for Ni-MH chemistry. The cells are conditioning from storage voltage, and the charge IC draws higher current in the early phase, which generates heat. As long as the pack isn't hot to the touch or emitting any smell, let the cycle complete. If surface temperature exceeds what you can comfortably hold for three seconds, remove it and check the charger's output against the pack's 18V rating.

The capacity indicator on my tool dropped to one bar after just a few uses — the pack isn't lasting like the original did. What's the fix?

Ni-MH packs that haven't completed a calibration cycle will report inaccurate capacity — the fuel gauge is still mapped to the old cells. Run one full discharge until the tool cuts off from low voltage, then charge the pack completely back to 18V. After that cycle, the indicator recalibrates to the new cells and gives an accurate reading.
