Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Pack 2ICP/52/34/46 1S2P — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 7.4V Li-ion battery pack rated at 1200mAh (8.88Wh), built in a 1S2P configuration — one series group with two cells in parallel. It replaces the OEM pack identified by part number 2ICP/52/34/46 1S2P. Dimensions are 50.00 × 34.00 × 12.00 mm, so confirm your bay clearance before fitting.
- 1S2P cell configuration: Two cells run in parallel within a single series group. This keeps the output at 7.4V nominal while doubling cell-level current capacity compared to a 1S1P pack. The BMS monitors the parallel group as a single node, so cell matching at the pack level matters — both cells in this pack are matched before assembly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench, monitoring BMS cutoff thresholds at both ends. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff and resumed charge acceptance without needing a manual reset.
- First-cycle calibration: If your device shows a fuel gauge or capacity indicator, run one full charge-to-discharge cycle immediately after installation. The integrated fuel gauge in many devices calibrates its state-of-charge model against the new cells on that first full sweep — skipping it can leave the indicator reading inaccurate for weeks.
Pack running at lower voltage than rated on first use
Li-ion packs ship at storage voltage — typically 3.7V to 3.85V per cell, which puts a 7.4V nominal pack somewhere between 7.4V and 7.7V at rest. This is intentional. Shipping at full charge accelerates cell degradation in transit. If your device reports low battery or behaves sluggishly straight out of the packaging, charge the pack fully before drawing any load from it. A rested, fully charged 7.4V Li-ion pack should measure approximately 8.3V to 8.4V at the terminals.
Pack not reaching full charge on the first cycle
On the first charge cycle, the charge IC in the host device or charger often applies a reduced current to new or deeply stored cells — this is a deliberate conditioning behaviour, not a fault. The pack may appear to stop charging earlier than expected or the charge indicator may plateau before 100%. Run the full charge cycle to completion without interrupting it. By the second or third cycle, the charge IC typically unlocks full current and the pack reaches its rated 1200mAh capacity consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions
My device won't turn on after fitting the new pack — it just shows a blinking light or error code. What's happening?
The device is likely running a voltage range check or BMS handshake on startup and rejecting the pack because it arrived at storage voltage, which sits below the device's minimum accepted threshold. Charge the pack fully via the OEM charger before attempting to power on the device. Once the pack reaches its full charge state — around 8.3V to 8.4V at the terminals — the handshake clears and the device accepts it normally.
The pack feels noticeably warm during its first charge. Should I stop charging it?
Warmth during a first charge cycle is expected. New cells undergo a mild conditioning process on the initial charge, and the current flowing into two parallel cells generates low-level heat as the chemistry stabilises. The pack should feel warm to the touch, not hot. If the pack becomes too hot to hold comfortably or the casing distorts, disconnect it immediately — but steady warmth through a normal first charge cycle is not a fault.
The device firmware is showing an authentication error or "unrecognised battery" message even after a full charge. How do I clear it?
Some devices run a firmware-level authentication check that triggers once on any new pack insertion. Power the device off completely, remove the pack, reinsert it, then charge it to 100% using the OEM charger rather than a third-party unit. The OEM charger's communication line is often what satisfies the authentication check. After one full charge via the OEM charger, power cycle the device and the error clears in most cases.
