Fits Custom Battery Packs AA15008S1P replacement pack for cordless handheld tools and emergency lighting devices.
9.6V and 1500mAh deliver 14.4Wh — adequate for moderate-duty cycles on standard cordless equipment without extended runtimes.
Connector type and locking tab match OEM slot orientation; physical dimensions 57.50 x 51.20 x 29.40mm confirm flush fit in device housing.
We charged the pack through a full cycle; Ni-MH cells accepted current without delay and BMS voltage stabilized within spec after settling.
On first installation, run one complete charge-discharge cycle before trusting any capacity reading — integrated fuel gauges require calibration against new cell behavior.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Packs AA15008S1P — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 9.6V 1500mAh (14.4Wh) Ni-MH replacement battery pack built to the AA15008S1P specification. It targets cordless devices that accept this OEM part number directly — handheld tools, emergency lighting units, and consumer electronics running on a 9.6V rechargeable pack. Match your original part number before ordering.

  • 9.6V Ni-MH cell configuration: Eight NiMH cells wired in series produce the 9.6V nominal rail this pack runs on. Devices that accept the AA15008S1P are voltage-matched to this rail at the charge controller level — swapping to a different voltage pack will trip the charge IC or damage the device.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a cell analyser. The BMS held cell balancing within spec, and capacity measured at rated across three consecutive cycles after an initial conditioning charge.
  • First-use calibration cycle: Run a full charge to termination, then discharge the pack completely before recharging. Ni-MH packs ship at storage voltage, and devices with a capacity indicator will misread the state of charge until one full cycle resets the fuel gauge baseline.

Pack running at lower voltage than rated on first install

Ni-MH packs leave the warehouse at storage voltage — typically 1.0–1.1V per cell, which puts a fresh 9.6V pack closer to 8.0–8.8V at the terminals. Some devices flag this as a fault or refuse to operate normally. This is not a defect. Charge the pack fully before first use and let the charger reach termination. After a full charge, terminal voltage should read 9.6V or slightly above under no load.

Pack not accepted by device after swap

If the device shows no response or a fault indicator after installing a new pack, the most common cause is a BMS handshake check failing on a cold, partially discharged cell. The device reads the pack voltage, sees it below the acceptance threshold, and rejects it. Charge the pack fully via the OEM charger first — do not install and expect the device to charge from flat. Once the pack reaches full charge, reinstall and power cycle the device to clear the rejection state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My device shows a fault light immediately after installing the new AA15008S1P pack — what's happening?

The device is reading terminal voltage below its acceptance window. Fresh Ni-MH packs ship at storage voltage, often 8.0–8.8V on a 9.6V pack, which is enough to trigger a low-voltage rejection. Charge the pack to full termination before installing it, then power cycle the device. After a full charge the terminal voltage will sit at or above 9.6V and the fault should clear.

The pack gets warm during the first charge — is that a problem?

Mild warmth during the first charge is normal for Ni-MH chemistry. The cells are conditioning from storage state, and the charge IC runs a slightly higher current on the first cycle as it characterises the pack. If the pack becomes hot to the touch or the charger cuts out early, remove it and let it cool for 30 minutes before retrying. A pack that repeatedly overheats on the first charge should be inspected — check that charger output voltage matches the 9.6V spec on the label.

The device capacity indicator is reading incorrectly after swapping to the new pack — how do I fix this?

The fuel gauge is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one complete charge-to-termination followed by a full discharge, then charge fully again. This single cycle gives the gauge controller a new reference point for the replacement cells. After that cycle, the percentage or bar indicator should track accurately against actual remaining capacity.
