Fits Xiaoyi AZ13H action cameras; replaces OEM part number AZ13-1.
3.7V, 850mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 3.15Wh for full imaging and recording cycles.
Micro-connector slot fits standard Xiaoyi camera body terminals; no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell in an AZ13H body; BMS accepted the new pack on first charge cycle without voltage drift or cutoff errors.
On first use, charge this cell fully inside the camera body itself — Xiaoyi's firmware requires an internal charge cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve to the battery-remaining display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaoyi AZ13H / YDXJ01XY — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AZ13-1)

This is a 3.7V 850mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original AZ13-1 battery in the Xiaoyi AZ13H and YDXJ01XY action cameras. It fits the same physical footprint at 36.35 × 32.30 × 7.82mm and drops into the same battery compartment. Voltage and watt-hour rating (3.15Wh) match OEM spec.

  • AZ13H and YDXJ01XY compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and share the AZ13-1 connector and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the AZ13H body and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell on first install, with charge termination and discharge cutoff triggering at expected thresholds.
  • First-cycle acceptance on action cameras: Run one full charge through the camera body or OEM charger before heavy recording. Some Xiaoyi BMS firmware maps battery-remaining percentages only after seeing a complete charge curve from the new cell — skipping this step causes erratic indicator readings early on.

Battery percentage jumping on the AZ13H display after fitting a new cell

The AZ13H maps remaining capacity by tracking voltage against a stored discharge curve. A fresh cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile than a used OEM cell, so the indicator can read inaccurately until the camera calibrates. Complete one full charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body. After that cycle, the firmware anchors its curve to the new cell and the percentage display stabilises.

AZ13H showing dead battery icon on a cell that still has charge

This happens when the camera's low-voltage cutoff triggers before the cell is actually empty — usually because the BMS hasn't completed its first calibration cycle on the new cell. The camera reads the voltage floor as lower than actual capacity. Charge the battery fully in the camera body, then run it down through normal recording until shutdown. One complete cycle resets the cutoff threshold and the false-empty warnings stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xiaoyi AZ13H says "no battery" or won't recognise the new cell — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. The AZ13H BMS runs an authentication check on install and can reject an uninitialized cell if it hasn't seen a charge handshake yet. Place the battery in the camera, connect to the OEM charger, and let it run a full charge cycle without interrupting it. After the charge completes, the camera body registers the cell and the "no battery" flag clears.

Shot count on my AZ13H feels lower than expected — is the 850mAh cell underperforming?

Rated capacity reflects a controlled constant-current draw test. The AZ13H adds real-world load spikes from the image stabilisation system, video encoding processor, and WiFi transmission if enabled — each of these pulls current well above the baseline test rate and shortens shot count beyond what capacity alone predicts. Turn off WiFi when not transferring footage, as that single drain is consistently the largest variable. Capacity is accurate; it's the combined draw that compresses usable recording time.

The AZ13H body gets noticeably warm during sustained video recording — is that a battery issue?

Warmth during video is mostly processor and sensor heat, not the battery. The AZ13-1 cell does contribute some thermal output under sustained current draw, but the dominant heat sources are the image sensor and encoding chip running continuously. If the battery itself feels hot to the touch immediately after removal, check that the compartment contacts are clean and making full contact — a partial connection forces higher resistance at the terminal, which generates heat at the cell level. Clean contacts with a dry cloth and reseat the battery.
