Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel Altiset Easy L / Altiset Pro I / OneTouch Plus — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Alcatel Altiset Easy L, Altiset Pro I, and OneTouch Plus cordless phone handsets. It slots into the handset battery compartment and restores charge capacity lost when the original cell degrades. Voltage and physical dimensions match the factory specification exactly.
- Altiset Easy L, Altiset Pro I, OneTouch Plus compatibility: All three handsets run the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH rail, share the same connector pinout, and use the same physical bay dimensions — 42.64 x 30.00 x 14.45mm. No modification required to fit any of these models.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on DECT handset hardware. The BMS accepted charge from the base station without error, and cell voltage held stable across the discharge curve with no mid-cycle drop-out detected.
- First charge on a new Ni-MH pack: After fitting, place the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells arrive partially discharged from storage and require a slow initial charge cycle to reach their rated 600mAh capacity. Pulling the handset early will reduce your usable capacity on the first several cycles.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity straight out of the box. The electrochemical structure needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cells reach their stated 600mAh. During those early cycles, talk time will be noticeably lower than the original battery at its prime. Run full cycles — charge completely in the base, then use the handset until it prompts you to charge again — and capacity will rise each time.
Base station charge light not activating after fitting a new battery
A Ni-MH pack sitting in warehouse storage can drop to a voltage level the base station's charging circuit reads as a fault rather than a depleted battery. The base applies a brief voltage check before committing to a charge current, and a deeply discharged cell can fall below that threshold. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly in the base to trigger a fresh detection cycle. If the charge light still does not activate, confirm the handset contacts and base cradle contacts are clean — oxidation on either surface interrupts the circuit. A resting pack voltage above 3.0V will typically clear the error on the next seating.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel Altiset handset is losing range — could the new battery be causing it?
Yes. When a Ni-MH pack is still in its early conditioning cycles, voltage sags under the RF transmit load the DECT radio draws. That sag reduces transmit power, which shortens effective range. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles to bring the cells to rated capacity. Once the pack stabilises above 3.4V under load, range returns to normal.
The Altiset handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?
Some DECT handsets drop their pairing data when power is fully removed, because the registration is held in volatile memory backed by the battery. Removing the old cell before the new one is in place cuts that power entirely. Re-register the handset from the base station menu — on most Altiset systems, hold the paging button on the base for five seconds, then follow the handset pairing prompt.
The Altiset battery drains completely overnight even though I left the handset in the base — what is wrong?
This points to the handset not making proper contact with the base cradle charging pins. If the handset sits slightly tilted or the cradle pins are dirty, the base never delivers charge current and standby draw empties the pack by morning. Clean the gold contacts on the handset base and the cradle pins with a dry cloth, then reseat the handset and confirm the charge indicator light activates. A correctly seated handset drawing normal standby current should read at least 3.4V the following morning.
