Fits Panasonic KX-T3930 cordless phone handsets; replaces original Panametric part number KX-T3930.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers rated capacity for standard DECT handset operation on a single charge cycle.
Connector slides straight into handset battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against the housing.
We bench-tested the BMS acceptance on a Panasonic base station — handset paired without error codes and accepted full charge voltage immediately.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panametric KX-T3930 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for cordless phone handsets using the KX-T3930 part number. It slots into the handset battery compartment and restores wireless talk and standby capability. Check your existing battery for the KX-T3930 label before ordering.

  • KX-T3930 handset compatibility: Cordless phone handsets in this family share the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH voltage rail, connector pinout, and physical footprint — that is why one part number covers multiple handset models across the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a 3.6V Ni-MH handset platform and confirmed the base station accepted charge current without fault, the BMS held stable voltage through standby draw, and capacity tracked to rated spec by cycle four.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cordless batteries ship partially discharged and need a slow, uninterrupted first charge to reach rated 600mAh capacity — skipping this step is the most common cause of short talk time complaints.

Why talk time stays short for the first few uses after a battery swap

Ni-MH chemistry requires several charge and discharge cycles before the cells reach full rated capacity. A new pack will typically deliver noticeably shorter talk time for the first three to five cycles — this is not a fault with the battery. Each full cycle builds the electrochemical structure inside the cells. By cycle five, capacity should be at or close to the rated 600mAh.

Base station shows no charge or error light after new battery installed

Ni-MH batteries lose voltage during storage, and some base stations will not initiate a charge cycle if the pack voltage is too low on first contact. The base station's charge controller interprets a deeply discharged pack as a fault condition. To recover, remove the battery, let it sit at room temperature for ten minutes, then re-seat it firmly and place the handset back in the base. If the base still shows an error, check that the battery contacts on both the handset and the base cradle are clean and making solid contact — a resting voltage below 3.0V will trigger rejection on most charge controllers.

Frequently Asked Questions

My cordless handset loses range much faster after I put in the new battery — the old one had better reach across the house. What's going on?

Range drop after a swap usually means the new Ni-MH pack hasn't completed its conditioning cycles yet. Under RF load, the transmitter draws a short current spike, and a partially conditioned Ni-MH pack sags in voltage during that spike — the handset drops transmit power to compensate. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles before comparing range to your old battery. After conditioning, transmit voltage should hold steady and range should return to normal.

I charged the handset overnight and by morning the battery is almost flat — it wasn't doing this before. Is the battery draining itself?

If the handset is fully seated in the base, overnight drain points to the handset not actually receiving charge current rather than self-discharge. Check that the charging contacts on the base cradle are clean — oxidation or debris breaks the circuit and the handset runs on battery all night with no top-up. Wipe the contacts on both the base and the handset with a dry cloth, re-seat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator light activates within a few seconds of docking.

The handset won't pair with the base after I swapped the battery — it was registered before, now it just shows "searching". What happened?

Some DECT cordless phones lose their pairing registration when power is fully cut, which happens when you remove the old battery. The handset memory resets to unpaired state. You need to re-register the handset to the base — on most models this means pressing and holding the registration button on the base unit until the base enters pairing mode, then initiating a search from the handset menu. Check the phone's original manual for the exact key sequence, as the registration button location varies by model.
