Fits Binatone Cheetah Range cordless phones; replaces OEM battery for E3250, E920, Easy Touch 100, and 16 additional handset models in this line.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the voltage and capacity this DECT base station expects; output matches original pack specifications.
Battery slides into the handset compartment; connector orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion; locking tab secures flush against the housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a Cheetah Range handset against a discharged OEM pack; BMS accepted the voltage threshold on first insertion without error codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Binatone Cheetah Range, E3250 & E920 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Binatone cordless phone handsets across the Cheetah Range, E3250, E920, Easy Touch 100, and over 16 additional compatible models. It fits directly into the handset battery compartment and restores talk and standby function when the original cell no longer holds charge. Check dimensions before fitting: 45.90 x 31.20 x 10.70mm.

  • Cheetah Range and E-series compatibility: These Binatone handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH voltage rail, connector pinout, and physical housing format — which is why one cell fits across this entire group of models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a cordless handset platform. The BMS accepted the pack without error, and voltage held stable at the 3.6V nominal rail under standard DECT transmit load.
  • First charge after installation: After fitting, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phones need a slow initial charge cycle to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens apparent talk time from day one.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells arrive partially discharged from storage and require three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. On cycle one, you will likely see noticeably shorter talk time than expected — this is normal cell behaviour, not a fault. Each full cycle conditions the cell further. By cycle four or five, talk time should stabilise at or near the 700mAh rated capacity.

Base station shows no charge or error light after fitting new battery

NiMH cells that have sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the base station uses to confirm a valid pack is seated. If the base shows an error light or no charge indication, remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly. If the issue persists, check resting cell voltage — it should read at least 3.0V before the base will accept a charge cycle. A brief trickle from an external NiMH charger can bring a deeply discharged cell back above that threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Binatone handset won't pair with the base after I swapped the battery — did I break something?

No. Some DECT handsets lose their pairing data when power is fully interrupted during a battery swap. The fix is to re-register the handset to the base — on most Binatone models, hold the registration button on the base unit for five seconds, then follow the pairing prompt on the handset. Check your model's quick-start guide for the exact key sequence, as it varies across the Cheetah and E-series range.

The battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's wrong?

This usually means the handset is not making a solid connection with the base charging contacts. Remove the handset, wipe the charging pins on both the handset and base with a dry cloth, then reseat the handset firmly until you hear or feel it click into position. If the charge indicator light does not come on within a few seconds of reseating, the contacts may need a light clean with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud — corrosion on NiMH-era contacts is common.

After a few weeks of use the handset's range has noticeably dropped — could the battery be causing this?

Yes. When a NiMH cell's voltage sags under RF transmit load, the handset reduces transmit power to stay within operating limits — and range drops as a result. This is most common if the battery has not completed its first three to five conditioning cycles. Run the handset through several full charge-discharge cycles and check range again. If sag continues after five cycles, measure resting voltage — a healthy 3.6V NiMH pack should read at least 4.1V immediately off charge.
