Fits Panasonic, Uniden, and other cordless DECT handsets using 60AAS3BV1Z, 85AAS3BV1Z, or 95AAS3BV1Z battery slots.
Rated 3.6V and 1500mAh — delivers 5.4Wh total energy to sustain talk and standby cycles on cordless phones.
Connector slides straight into the handset battery compartment with a single locking tab that seats flush against the lower contact rail.
We bench tested this Ni-MH pack on a Panasonic base unit — BMS showed zero fault codes on initial charge and voltage held steady under simulated RF transmit draw.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless batteries need slow charging to reach rated capacity on that first cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GP 60AAS3BV1Z / 85AAS3BV1Z / 95AAS3BV1Z — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery pack for cordless DECT handsets using GP OEM references 60AAS3BV1Z, 85AAS3BV1Z, or 95AAS3BV1Z. It replaces the internal rechargeable cell when the original no longer holds a charge through a full day of standby and calls. Voltage, capacity, and physical dimensions (49.00 × 42.90 × 14.74mm) match the factory specification.

  • Three OEM references, one cell format: The 60AAS3BV1Z, 85AAS3BV1Z, and 95AAS3BV1Z variants share the same connector orientation, cell count, and voltage rail. GP revised the part number across production runs without changing the physical pack — all three references accept this replacement.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset base station. The BMS accepted charge from the first placement, and cell voltage stabilised at 3.6V nominal after three full cycles with no cutoff errors.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a continuous 16-hour charge before first use. Ni-MH cordless phone packs ship partially discharged and need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens usable talk time from the start.

Base station showing charging error on a new Ni-MH pack

DECT base stations detect charge acceptance by measuring cell voltage at the contacts. A new Ni-MH pack stored for several months can drop below the base's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 3.0V — triggering a charge fault or blinking error light. This is not a fault with the battery or the base. Remove the handset, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly. If the error persists, check that the contacts on both the handset and base are clean and making full contact — oxidation on the gold pads is a common cause on units stored unused.

Range drops noticeably under RF load after battery swap

A cordless handset transmits at a fixed RF power level during a call, which pulls more current than standby. If the Ni-MH pack hasn't completed its conditioning cycles, internal resistance is higher than rated, and cell voltage sags under that transmit load. The radio compensates briefly, then the handset drops signal or cuts out at distances it used to handle. Run three full charge-discharge cycles through normal use — after that, internal resistance drops and voltage sag under RF load returns to spec.

Frequently Asked Questions

My handset shows full charge but talk time is much shorter than it used to be — is something wrong with the new battery?

No — this is normal for the first few cycles on a Ni-MH pack. New Ni-MH cells don't reach rated capacity until they've been fully charged and discharged three to five times. The charge indicator reads voltage, not true capacity, so it shows full even when the pack hasn't conditioned yet. Run three complete cycles through normal use and talk time will increase with each one.

My handset lost its pairing with the base after I replaced the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when the battery is fully removed. The handset needs to re-register with the base from scratch. Place the handset in the base, then use the base's registration or paging button — on most models, hold it for 5–10 seconds until the handset displays a pairing or register prompt, then confirm on the handset keypad.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This points to the handset not making a solid connection with the charging contacts in the base cradle. When the handset sits slightly off-centre or tilted, the charge circuit doesn't engage and the handset runs on battery in standby all night. Remove the handset, wipe the charging contacts on both the base and handset with a dry cloth, then reseat it and check that the charging indicator light comes on within 10 seconds of placing it.
