Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Olympia C100 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 1200mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Olympia C100 cordless phone handset. It slots into the handset battery compartment and restores wireless operation away from the base station. Capacity is 1200mAh — matching the original specification.

  • Olympia C100 fit: The C100 handset uses a 3.6V Ni-MH cell pack at this form factor — 52.99 x 44.48 x 15.15mm. The voltage rail and connector position are specific to this model, so the pack seats and charges correctly through the base cradle contacts.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the C100 base station charge cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge without triggering an error state. Discharge curves held consistent with the 1200mAh rating across three conditioning cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use. Ni-MH cells in cordless phones are shipped in a partial-discharge state and need a slow, uninterrupted initial charge to reach rated capacity.

Base station showing no charge or error light on a new Ni-MH pack

Ni-MH batteries lose voltage during storage and can arrive below the base station's charge-acceptance threshold. Some cordless phone charging circuits look for a minimum voltage before starting the charge cycle — if the pack reads too low, the base treats it as a fault. This is not a defective battery. Remove the handset, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly so both charge contacts are flush. If the error persists, the pack voltage may need a brief recovery — leave it seated for 10–15 minutes and the base circuit should detect the slow voltage rise and begin charging.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting a new battery

Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity immediately after installation — this is a chemistry behaviour, not a defect. The first three to five full charge-and-use cycles are conditioning cycles that allow the cell chemistry to stabilise and reach the 1200mAh rating. Short talk time on day one is normal. Run the handset through at least three complete cycles — full charge in base, then use until the low-battery alert sounds — before judging capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Olympia C100 handset lost its pairing with the base station after I swapped the battery — how do I fix that?

Some DECT cordless phones drop their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset during a battery swap. The handset loses the stored base registration. Re-pair the handset using the registration procedure in the C100 manual — this typically involves pressing the page or register button on the base while holding a key on the handset. Once re-paired, the handset should resume normal operation without any further changes.

The battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's wrong?

If the handset is not fully seated in the base cradle, the charge contacts do not make a clean connection and the handset runs on battery rather than topping up from the base. Check that the handset clicks or sits flush when placed in the cradle and that neither contact pin is dirty or bent. Wipe both the handset charge contacts and the cradle contacts with a dry cloth, then reseat the handset. A correctly seated C100 handset draws standby power from the base and should not drain the battery overnight.

After three full cycles the C100 still has noticeably reduced range — is this a battery issue?

Yes — Ni-MH voltage sag under RF transmit load is the most common cause of reduced range in cordless handsets after a battery swap. When the pack voltage drops under the transmit current draw, the handset reduces output power to stay within operating limits. Confirm the battery has completed at least five full conditioning cycles so the cells are at rated capacity. If range remains short after conditioning, check that the 3.6V pack reads at or above 4.2V on a multimeter immediately after a full charge — a reading below that indicates a cell not holding charge.
