Fits Telekom Speedphone 300 cordless handset, replaces OEM 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 650mAh lithium-ion delivers stable voltage during calls without mid-conversation sag.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive terminal forward, locks firm.
We bench-tested the cell in a Speedphone 300 base; BMS accepted charge immediately.
After installation, seat the handset in base for 16 hours before first call — lithium-ion cells require a slow initial charge cycle to stabilize voltage regulation on this platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Telekom Speedphone 300 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Telekom Speedphone 300 DECT cordless handset. It fits directly into the handset's battery compartment and restores normal wireless calling operation. Capacity is 2.41Wh, matching the original cell specification.

  • Speedphone 300 fit: The Speedphone 300 uses a slim single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. The cell dimensions — 47.00 x 34.00 x 4.60mm — match the original bay exactly, so the connector seats without modification and the handset's charge circuit reads the pack correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Speedphone 300's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted a full charge without flagging a fault. The cell held voltage within expected range across standby and active RF transmission.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in its base cradle immediately after fitting this battery and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage states need a complete slow charge through the handset's own circuit to reach rated capacity accurately.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

A Li-ion cell shipped from storage arrives at roughly 40–60% state of charge. The handset's charge circuit tops it up, but the cell hasn't been cycled yet. Capacity readings settle after three to five full charge and discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance stabilises. If talk time is still noticeably short after five cycles, check the handset contacts and base cradle pins for oxidation — a high-resistance connection limits charge current and the cell never reaches 4.2V full charge.

Base station showing no charge or error light after battery swap

Some DECT base stations check the handset battery voltage before initiating the charge cycle. A cell that has dropped below roughly 3.0V during storage may sit outside the base's acceptance window, causing it to display an error light or simply not charge. Remove the handset, leave it off the base for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly so all cradle contacts touch. If the error persists, check that the cradle pins are clean and that the handset battery compartment cover is fully closed — a loose cover can shift the cell slightly off the contacts.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Speedphone 300 loses range about halfway through a call after fitting the new battery — what's causing it?

Under RF load, the transmitter in the handset draws a short burst of current that momentarily pulls the battery voltage down. If the cell is not yet fully charged or is in its first few cycles, that voltage sag is enough for the handset's power management to reduce transmit power. Charge the handset fully in the base for 16 hours and run three complete charge and discharge cycles before judging range. After conditioning, the cell holds voltage more steadily under transmit load and range returns to normal.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts power completely, and some DECT handsets store their pairing data in volatile memory that clears on full power loss. This is a handset firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Re-register the handset from the base station menu — on most Telekom DECT bases, hold the registration button on the base for three seconds, then start the registration process from the handset's settings menu.

The battery drains overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base cradle — is the battery faulty?

This usually means the handset is not making a solid electrical connection with the cradle charge contacts. The base only charges when the contact resistance is low enough for current to flow — a slightly off-centre handset or dirty cradle pins means the cell self-discharges overnight instead of topping up. Clean the cradle pins and the handset's charge contacts with a dry cotton swab, then reseat the handset and check that the charge indicator light activates. A confirmed charging connection should hold the cell above 4.1V by morning.
