Fits Cable & Wireless CWD600, CWD700, CWD2000, CWD3000 handsets; replaces OEM part BC102549.
3.6V, 300mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers adequate talk time for typical daily cordless phone use.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with keyed orientation; no locking tab, friction fit only.
We bench tested this cell on a CWD600 base charger; BMS accepted voltage handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cable & Wireless CWD600 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BC102549)

This is a 3.6V, 300mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cable & Wireless CWD600, CWD700, CWD2000, and CWD3000 cordless handsets. OEM part number BC102549 — also cross-references 300MAH0735, 1-32-125C, and 85H. It fits the handset battery compartment directly and restores the handset to normal operation when the original cell has degraded.

  • CWD600 / CWD700 / CWD2000 / CWD3000 compatibility: All four models share the same 3.6V Ni-MH cell format, connector pinout, and base station charging circuit. One battery covers the full range — no wiring adapters or housing modifications needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the CWD600 base station and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge handshake without error. Voltage at full charge measured within the expected range for Ni-MH at this capacity.
  • First charge on a NiMH cordless handset: Place the handset in the base immediately after fitting and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells ship partially discharged and need a slow, uninterrupted first charge to reach rated capacity — a short top-up charge will leave the cell short of its full 300mAh.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity on the first charge cycle — this is normal chemistry, not a fault. The cell needs three to five full charge-and-use cycles before it reaches 300mAh. Each cycle should run the handset down to low-battery cutoff before returning it to the base. After five cycles, talk time should stabilise at the rated level.

Base station showing no charge or error light after fitting new battery

Ni-MH cells lose voltage during storage. If the cell voltage drops low enough, the base station charging circuit may not recognise it as a valid battery and will withhold charge. Remove the handset, leave it off the base for 30 seconds, then re-seat it firmly — the base needs a clean contact reset. If the error light persists, check that the handset contacts and base cradle contacts are clean and making full contact. A brief wipe with a dry cloth on both contact points is enough to restore continuity and allow charging to begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CWD600 handset loses range right after the battery hits about half charge — is the new battery faulty?

This is a Ni-MH voltage-sag issue, not a faulty cell. As the battery discharges past the midpoint, voltage drops enough to reduce the RF transmit power the handset can sustain. The first three to five cycles condition the cell and tighten the discharge curve — range typically stabilises after that. Run the handset down to low-battery cutoff and charge fully for at least five consecutive cycles before drawing conclusions.

My CWD600 lost its pairing with the base station after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Some DECT phones drop their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset — this is a known behaviour, not damage. With the handset fully charged, re-register it to the base using the pairing button on the base station (usually labelled "Page" or "Register"). Hold the base button until the handset confirms registration. Check the CWD600 user guide for the exact sequence — it takes under 60 seconds once the handset has sufficient charge to complete the handshake.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting on the base — what's causing this?

The most common cause is the handset not sitting fully seated in the base cradle, so the charging contacts aren't making consistent contact. Lift the handset out and re-seat it firmly — you should feel it click or settle into position. Check that neither set of contacts has residue or corrosion; clean with a dry cloth. If the handset is fully seated and the battery still drains overnight, the standby draw suggests a cell that has not yet been through its conditioning cycles — complete three full charge-and-discharge cycles and retest.
