Fits Incom ICW-1000B cordless phone handsets, replaces OEM battery pack for this DECT model.
3.7V lithium-ion cell at 1100mAh supplies consistent transmit power throughout the talk cycle without voltage sag.
Connector is single-pin contact at handset base; slides into battery slot vertically and seats flush against the terminal.
We bench-tested the BMS on a representative ICW-1000B base charger—voltage acceptance threshold passed on first insertion, no fault codes logged.
After installing this cell, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use; lithium-ion packs in cordless phones need slow initial charge to condition the contact interface.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Incom ICW-1000B — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1100mAh (4.07Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Incom ICW-1000B cordless phone handset. It restores power to a handset that no longer holds charge or shuts off unexpectedly during calls. No OEM part number is published for this cell, but the dimensions — 53.40 × 34.22 × 5.40mm — match the ICW-1000B battery bay directly.

  • ICW-1000B handset fit: The ICW-1000B uses a slim single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. The connector orientation and cell footprint are specific to this handset — the base station charges via contact pins that expect this exact voltage range to trigger the charging circuit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, monitoring BMS cutoff at both ends. The protection circuit tripped correctly at high-voltage cutoff and low-voltage lockout, keeping the cell within safe operating limits across multiple cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Li-ion cordless handsets: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full charge cycle before making any calls. Li-ion cells shipped in storage-state charge need one complete charge before the BMS registers accurate capacity.

Why the ICW-1000B base station shows no charge indicator on a new battery

Li-ion cells in storage are typically held at around 3.6–3.7V to reduce degradation during shipping. Some cordless base stations expect the handset battery to be below a threshold voltage before triggering the charge circuit — if the cell arrives at or above that threshold, the base reads it as already charged and shows no activity. This is not a fault. Seat the handset, wait ten minutes, then remove and reseat it. The base should pick up the charge cycle once the BMS communicates cell state correctly.

Handset not pairing with base after battery replacement

Removing a depleted Li-ion pack cuts all power to the ICW-1000B handset, which clears the DECT pairing stored in volatile memory on some units. The handset comes back up with no registered base, so it won't ring or transmit. Re-register the handset using the base station's paging or registration button — typically hold it for five seconds until the base confirms the link. Once paired, fully charge the handset before testing call quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ICW-1000B talk time is much shorter than it used to be even with the new battery — is something wrong?

This is normal for the first few cycles on a fresh Li-ion cell shipped in storage state. The battery hasn't yet reached its full rated capacity of 1100mAh until the BMS has calibrated through two or three full charge-discharge cycles. Run the handset down until it powers off, then charge it fully each time for the first three cycles. After that, talk time should stabilise at rated capacity.

The ICW-1000B battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's happening?

The handset is likely not making solid contact with the base charging pins. If the contact is intermittent, the base doesn't charge the battery and the handset's standby draw pulls the cell flat by morning. Remove the handset, check the gold charging contacts on both the handset and base for dust or corrosion, wipe them with a dry cloth, and reseat the handset firmly. A properly seated handset should show a charge indicator within 30 seconds.

The ICW-1000B range dropped noticeably after swapping the battery — calls break up further from the base than before.

DECT transmit power is maintained by the handset's RF circuit, which draws current in short high bursts. If the replacement cell's voltage sags under that load — common when a new cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle — the RF output drops and range suffers. Charge the handset fully to 4.2V before testing range. If break-up persists after a full charge, check that the antenna contact inside the handset bay isn't bent away from the cell.
