Fits Nortel C3050, C3060 cordless handsets; replaces OEM part NTHH04GA.
3.6V at 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores full talk time and standby on DECT base stations.
Battery slides into handset compartment with flat connector; locking tab seats flush against housing.
Bench tested on C3050 base — NiMH BMS accepted charge without fault light; voltage held steady under RF load.
After installing, place handset in base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless batteries require slow initial charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nortel C3050 / C3060 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NTHH04GA)

This is a 3.6V 700mAh Ni-MH battery for the Nortel C3050 and C3060 cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers NTHH04GA and A0757132. The battery slots into the handset and restores talk time and standby function when the original pack no longer holds a charge.

  • C3050 and C3060 compatibility: Both models share the same handset chassis, battery bay dimensions, and 3.6V NiMH voltage rail. One pack covers both. The connector orientation and BMS contact points are identical across the C3050, C3060, A0628271, and A0667371 handsets.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the C3050 base station. The base accepted the NiMH voltage profile without error, and the BMS held within the expected charge termination window across repeated cycles.
  • First charge on the C3050 base: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16 hours before use. NiMH cells in cordless phone packs need a slow first charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens the usable charge from day one.

Range dropping on the C3050 after a battery swap

Cordless DECT handsets pull extra current during RF transmission. A NiMH pack that hasn't been conditioned will sag in voltage under that load, which causes the transmit circuit to throttle back. The result is reduced range — not a pairing fault or base station issue. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles on the base, and the cells will stabilise at their rated 3.6V under RF load.

Base station shows no charge light after fitting a new pack

A NiMH battery that sat in storage drops below the voltage threshold the C3050 base station uses to detect a valid pack. When the base sees a voltage below roughly 3.0V, it won't initiate a charge cycle and shows no light or an error state. Place the handset in the base for at least 30 minutes — the trickle stage will bring the cells up above the acceptance threshold. Once the base registers the pack, the charge indicator will activate and the full charge cycle will begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Nortel C3050 talk time is much shorter than it used to be — is the new battery faulty?

It's not faulty. NiMH cells in cordless phone batteries ship in a partially discharged state and need conditioning before they reach rated capacity. The first three to five full cycles on the base will bring talk time up to spec. Run the handset down until it prompts you to charge, then seat it in the base for a full charge each time — talk time improves noticeably by cycle three.

My C3050 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT handsets drop their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset during a battery swap. This is a firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Re-register the handset through the base station menu — on most Nortel C3050 systems, hold the Find/Page button on the base for five seconds to enter pairing mode, then follow the handset prompts to re-link.

The C3050 battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's wrong?

This points to a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the cradle, the charging contacts don't make a clean connection and the handset runs on battery in standby instead of drawing from the base. Press the handset firmly down into the base until you feel it seat, and check that the charge light activates. A fully seated handset on a working base draws negligible standby current from the NiMH pack overnight.
