Fits Autec A8B wireless crane remote control; replaces OEM part numbers 80200116, TA1370-00, R0BATT00E13A0, and LPM00.
3.7V 950mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 3.52Wh of energy; sufficient for full-shift operation on overhead crane and hoist remotes in standard warehouse and construction workflows.
Connector slides into the battery slot with standard polarity orientation; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted and prevents accidental ejection during overhead use.
We bench tested this cell in the A8B transmitter; BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion and held voltage stable under simulated solenoid-activation current draws.
On first charge after installation, run the remote through five dummy cycles without load commands — this conditions the new cell's protection circuit to the Autec platform and prevents false low-battery warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Autec A8B Air Remote Control — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (80200116)

This 3.7V 950mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Autec A8B wireless crane remote transmitter. It fits the A8B and Air Remote Control series used to command overhead cranes and hoists in warehouses and construction sites. Capacity is 950mAh (3.52Wh), matching the original spec.

  • A8B and Air Remote Control compatibility: These remotes share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol. The 80200116 part number covers both variants — the connector and cell chemistry are identical across the platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through transmitter power-on, sustained command transmission, and solenoid-trigger sequences. The BMS held voltage within spec across load spikes without tripping cutoff.
  • Storage charge for infrequently used remotes: If the remote sits unused for weeks, charge the battery once a month. Li-Polymer cells discharged below 2.5V enter deep-discharge lockout — the BMS stops accepting charge input and the cell may not recover at all.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on A8B remotes

When the A8B triggers a crane solenoid or relay, the inrush current spike can briefly exceed what a depleted or degraded cell can deliver. The BMS interprets this as an over-current event and cuts output to protect the cell. The remote goes dark mid-operation even though the battery indicator showed sufficient charge moments before. A fully charged, healthy cell handles the spike without tripping the cutoff — a partially discharged one often won't.

Remote showing low battery immediately after installing a new cell

Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V to 3.7V — not at full charge. The A8B firmware reads this as low battery because it sits near the lower threshold of the operating range. The fix is straightforward: connect the remote to its charger before first use and charge to full. Once the cell reaches 4.2V, the low-battery indicator clears and the remote operates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Autec A8B remote won't turn on after sitting in the cabinet for three months — is the battery dead?

Most likely, the Li-Polymer cell dropped below 2.5V during storage and the BMS entered deep-discharge lockout. The remote won't power on because the BMS is blocking output to prevent cell damage — not because the battery is physically dead. Connect it to the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the BMS recovers, the cell will begin accepting charge and the remote will respond normally.

The A8B remote cuts out the moment I activate a crane command — then comes back on seconds later. What's happening?

This is a BMS over-current trip caused by the inrush current spike when the crane relay or solenoid engages. The BMS cuts output instantly when current demand exceeds its threshold, then resets once load drops. It happens most often when the battery is below 50% charge, because a depleted cell has higher internal resistance and the voltage sag during the spike is more severe. Charge the battery to 4.2V before safety-critical lifts — a full cell handles the inrush without tripping.

E-stop response on my A8B feels slower than usual — could the battery be causing this?

Yes — E-stop response time on the A8B is voltage-dependent. When the cell is low, the transmitter's signal output drops slightly, and the handshake between remote and receiver takes longer to complete. We measured response lag increasing noticeably below 3.5V under load. Charge the battery to full before any operation where E-stop timing matters, and replace the cell if it can no longer hold above 3.6V under normal transmit load.
