Fits Cattron Theimeg TH-GA remote control unit, replaces OEM part number BT904-00044.
6V, 2100mAh Ni-MH chemistry provides sufficient capacity for solenoid activation and full-range wireless transmission on crane hoist operations.
Battery slides into vertical slot with keyed connector; locking tab secures pack flush against rear housing without force.
We bench tested this cell on a TH-GA unit through multiple solenoid cycles; BMS accepted voltage ramp without dropout events.
On first charge after months of storage, this Ni-MH cell may show low-battery indication briefly — complete a full charge cycle before field deployment.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cattron Theimeg TH-GA Series — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT904-00044)

This is a 6V, 2100mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cattron Theimeg TH-GA crane remote control system. It fits the TH-GA, TH-GA/NC-10, and TH-20DS-S/E wireless remote units used in industrial crane and hoist applications. OEM part number BT904-00044.

  • TH-GA platform compatibility: The TH-GA, TH-GA/NC-10, and TH-20DS-S/E share the same 6V battery bay, connector pinout, and charge circuit. All three units accept this cell pack without modification to the housing or charging contacts.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the TH-GA platform. The BMS held stable voltage across solenoid activation events, and the charge circuit accepted the cell correctly without false fault flags.
  • Monthly charge cycle for infrequent crane remote use: Crane remotes often sit idle for weeks between shifts. Ni-MH cells lose charge during storage — if the pack drops too low, the remote will not power on. Charge the battery once a month during idle periods, even if the remote has not been used.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on the TH-GA

When a crane solenoid or relay fires, it draws a short inrush current spike through the remote's power circuit. A degraded or deeply discharged battery cannot sustain that spike — voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold and the remote drops out. This is not a remote fault. A fully charged, correctly rated 2100mAh pack at 6V handles the inrush without voltage sag. If dropout persists after a full charge cycle, check the battery contacts for corrosion and clean them before ruling out the cell.

TH-GA remote showing low battery immediately after fitting a new cell

Ni-MH cells ship at storage voltage — typically well below a full charge state. The TH-GA reads this low resting voltage and flags it as a depleted battery even though the cell is new. This is not a faulty battery. Connect the remote to its charger before first use and allow a full charge cycle to complete. Once the cell reaches its rated 6V charge state, the low-battery indicator will clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TH-GA crane remote won't turn on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the new battery dead?

The battery is almost certainly in deep-discharge, not dead. Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage, and if the pack voltage dropped far enough the remote's circuit won't respond when you press the power button. Connect the remote to its charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on — the charge circuit needs time to bring the cell voltage up to a level the remote can recognise. If the remote powers on after charging, the battery is fine.

The TH-GA remote cuts out the moment I activate a crane function — what's causing this?

Solenoid and relay activation pulls a short inrush current spike that a low or partially charged battery cannot sustain. The voltage dips below the cutoff threshold and the remote drops out. Charge the battery fully before use and confirm the pack is at or near 6V resting voltage. If dropout continues on a confirmed full charge, clean the battery contacts — corrosion on the terminals increases resistance and worsens voltage sag under load.

The E-stop on my TH-GA remote seems slower to respond than it used to — could the battery be the cause?

E-stop response time on the TH-GA is voltage-dependent — a partially discharged cell reduces the speed and certainty of the safety circuit's activation signal. This is a real safety concern on a crane remote. Charge the battery to full before any safety-critical lift operation and verify the resting voltage reads at or close to 6V before use. Do not operate crane equipment with a battery showing a low-charge indicator.
