Fits Laird Cattron Theimeg Easy, Mini, TC100, and TC200 crane remotes; replaces OEM part BT923-00075.
12V, 2500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers sustained voltage for solenoid activation and long-distance signal transmission on hoist systems.
Connector slides into the battery bay with orientation key; locking tab seats flush against the remote housing.
We bench tested this pack on a TC200 unit — voltage held steady through ten full activation cycles with no BMS dropout.
For remotes sitting idle between shifts, charge monthly to prevent Ni-MH cell memory effect that reduces usable capacity on next deployment.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Laird Cattron Theimeg Easy / Mini / TC100 / TC200 — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT923-00075)

This is a 12V 2500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Laird Cattron Theimeg wireless crane and hoist remote control systems. It fits the Easy, Mini, TC100, and TC200 transmitter models, along with two additional units in the same family. The BT923-00075 is a direct OEM part number match.

  • Easy, Mini, TC100, TC200 compatibility: These transmitters share the same 12V battery bay, connector pinout, and charge circuit. A single BT923-00075 cell covers the full range without adapter modification or firmware-level battery registration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Theimeg charge cycle and monitored BMS handshake across full transmitter boot. The cell accepted charge cleanly and held voltage through simulated solenoid activation pulses without dropout or cutoff trip.
  • Infrequent-use charge schedule: Crane remotes that sit idle between jobs are a common failure point. Ni-MH cells discharged below the BMS recovery threshold will not respond to a charger. If the transmitter has been shelved for more than four weeks, connect it to the OEM charger for at least 30 minutes before expecting a power-on response.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed cell

When a crane remote triggers a solenoid or relay, the inrush current spike can briefly exceed what the BMS allows on a cell at storage charge. The BMS interprets this spike as an overload and trips the output. This is not a faulty battery — it is a charge-state issue. Bring the cell to full charge on the OEM charger before the first operational use and the BMS trip threshold will not be reached under normal solenoid load.

Remote shows low battery indicator immediately after new cell is installed

Replacement Ni-MH cells ship at partial storage voltage — typically around 60–70% state of charge. The Theimeg transmitter reads this as a low-battery condition because it is below the transmitter's operating threshold. This is expected behaviour, not a defective cell. Place the transmitter on charge until the indicator clears, then verify resting voltage is at or above 12.0V before returning the unit to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Theimeg crane remote won't turn on at all after sitting in the cabinet for a few months — is the battery dead?

Ni-MH cells left discharged for extended periods can drop below the BMS recovery voltage, which causes the battery to appear completely dead even when a charger is connected. Connect the transmitter to the OEM charger and leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on — this allows the charger to push enough current through to wake the BMS. If the charge indicator activates within that window, the cell is recovering. If there is no response after 45 minutes on charge, check charger output voltage at the connector — it should read between 13.5V and 14.5V under load.

The remote powers on fine but cuts out the moment I activate the hoist — what's happening?

Solenoid and relay activation draws a sharp inrush current that can trip the BMS cutoff on a cell that is not at full charge. The transmitter loses power momentarily, then resets. This is a state-of-charge problem, not a wiring or transmitter fault. Charge the battery fully before use and confirm resting voltage reads at or above 12.0V before operating the hoist.

The E-stop on our crane remote seems slower to respond than it used to be — could the battery be causing this?

E-stop response time on Theimeg remotes is voltage-dependent — a cell holding below 11.5V under load can add measurable latency to the safety signal. A degraded Ni-MH cell may show an acceptable resting voltage but sag under the transmitter's transmit current draw. Check the cell voltage under active transmission load, not just at rest. If voltage drops below 11.0V during use, replace the cell before returning the unit to any safety-critical lifting operation.
