Fits Roberts Revival Icon and Stream 95i DAB radios; replaces OEM part BP18650-3S1P and BP3 batteries.
10.8V lithium-ion pack at 3350mAh delivers stable voltage for full RF output during station scanning and playback.
Connector slides onto the radio's three-pin charging dock with positive contact alignment; locking tab seats flush against the battery door.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted full charge within two hours on Roberts' standard charger with zero cutoff errors or voltage sag during decode cycles.
After installation, run a full auto-scan for DAB stations before manual tuning — the radio's station list resets after power loss and needs a fresh frequency sweep to rebuild.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Roberts Revival Icon / Stream 95i — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP18650-3S1P)

This is a 10.8V, 3350mAh (36.18Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Roberts Revival Icon and Stream 95i DAB digital radios. It slots directly into the battery compartment and restores full wireless DAB reception capability. Voltage and cell count match the original BP18650-3S1P specification.

  • Revival Icon and Stream 95i compatibility: Both radios share the same 10.8V three-cell battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why they take the same pack. Swapping one for the other causes no recognition issues.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Revival Icon. The BMS reported correct cell voltages at each stage, and the radio accepted the pack without showing a fault or refusing to power on.
  • Station list re-scan after swap: After fitting this battery, let the radio run a full auto-scan before tuning manually. DAB station lists sit in volatile memory and reset when power is cut — a fresh scan rebuilds the full station index correctly.

Radio cutting out mid-station at low battery

The DAB decoder in the Revival Icon needs a stable voltage to process the multiplexed digital stream. When the battery sags below roughly 9.5V under load, the decoder loses sync and the audio drops out — often mid-sentence. This is not a tuner fault. It is the BMS protecting the cells by throttling output before the radio can maintain decode power. Charging to full resolves it immediately.

Battery life noticeably shorter in weak signal areas

The Revival Icon's RF front end draws more current when DAB signal strength is low — the tuner continuously increases its search power trying to lock onto a multiplex. In fringe reception areas this can meaningfully reduce how long the battery lasts between charges compared to use near a strong transmitter. Moving the radio to a window or elevated position reduces that RF load and extends each charge cycle. Check the signal bar display — anything below two bars puts the tuner into sustained high-draw mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Revival Icon lost all its saved stations after I fitted the new battery — do I need to reprogram them one by one?

No manual reprogramming needed. DAB station lists are stored in volatile memory, so any complete power interruption wipes them. Run a full auto-scan from the menu — the radio rebuilds the entire station index from the broadcast multiplex automatically. Once the scan completes, all available stations in your area will be restored.

Reception sounds worse since I swapped the battery — could the new pack be causing it?

A weak or partially charged battery limits the RF output the tuner can sustain, which makes marginal stations harder to decode cleanly. Charge the pack fully and check signal strength — the Revival Icon needs the battery above roughly 10V to run its RF front end at full sensitivity. If signal bars improve after a full charge, the battery voltage was the cause, not the tuner or aerial.

The radio powers on fine but cuts out randomly after a few hours — what's happening?

This is almost always the BMS throttling output as the cells approach their lower voltage threshold. The DAB decoder requires stable voltage to hold a digital stream lock — once current delivery dips under load, the stream drops before the battery indicator even shows low. Let the pack discharge fully once, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to recalibrate the fuel gauge. If cutouts still happen early in the charge cycle, check that the charging contact pins in the battery bay are clean and making firm contact.
