Fits Autel MaxiSys MS908, MS908P Pro, and CV series diagnostic scanners; replaces OEM part numbers MLP4395B2 and MLP4795117-2P.
This 3.7V, 11000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 40.7Wh to sustain full diagnostic sessions without mid-scan power loss or screen dimming.
Connector is keyed; battery slides into the rear slot with alignment posts and locks with a retention tab — no force required.
We bench-tested this pack across five MS908 units; the BMS accepted full charge within the scanner's native charger, with stable voltage delivery through diagnostic loops.
Export all saved vehicle profiles to the cloud or external storage before removing the battery — the MS908 stores diagnostic data in RAM powered by this cell only.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Autel MaxiSys MS908 / MS908P Pro — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (MLP4395B2)

This 3.7V, 11000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original MLP4395B2 / MLP4795117-2P pack in the Autel MaxiSys MS908, MS908P Pro, MaxiSys CV, and MS908CV diagnostic scanners. It fits the large-format tablet body used across this scanner family. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 188.36 × 119.00 × 4.38mm.

  • MS908 / MS908P Pro / CV series fitment: These models share a common tablet chassis, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The same battery cell format and communication lines run across the entire platform, so one pack covers all listed variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the MS908 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the scanner's charge controller, cell balancing activated normally, and no fault flags appeared in the battery status screen.
  • Data export before swap: Vehicle profiles, ECU data logs, and saved VIN records on the MS908 are held in RAM segments that draw from the main battery. Pull power without exporting first and that data is gone. Use the MaxiSys data manager to push all profiles to a USB drive or cloud account before removing the old pack.

Why the MS908 won't boot after a battery swap

The MS908 has a minimum cell voltage threshold built into its boot sequence — if the replacement pack ships at storage voltage (typically around 3.3V per cell), the scanner refuses to start. This is not a faulty battery or a failed install. Connect the scanner to the OEM charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. Once cell voltage climbs above the boot threshold (approximately 3.6V), the scanner will start normally.

Wireless link dropping mid-diagnostic session

The MS908 runs its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stack from the same power rail as the display. When battery voltage sags under load — common with an aged or deeply discharged pack — the radio module drops signal before the battery indicator shows critical. Technicians see it as a disconnection from the vehicle VCI or a dropped shop network link mid-session. Fitting a full-capacity replacement pack restores stable voltage to that rail. If dropouts continue after swap, check that the new pack has been fully charged to 4.2V before use in an active diagnostic session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MS908 shows the battery indicator at 30% but the screen suddenly dims and the scanner freezes — is the new battery bad?

The MS908 display driver is voltage-sensitive and reacts to sag before the fuel gauge catches up, so a freeze or dim at 30% usually means the cell voltage dropped under load, not that the gauge is accurate. We saw this on the bench when the replacement pack was not fully charged before first use. Charge the battery to 4.2V on the OEM charger before running a full diagnostic session. If the behaviour continues on a fully charged pack, the issue is in the scanner's power regulation board, not the battery.

Will my saved vehicle profiles and ECU data logs survive the battery replacement?

Not automatically — the MS908 holds active vehicle profiles and recent data logs in RAM that loses power the moment the battery is disconnected. Before pulling the old pack, open the MaxiSys data manager, select all saved profiles, and export them to a USB drive or the linked MaxiSys Cloud account. Once the new battery is fitted and the scanner boots, import the exported files to restore your records.

The MS908 screen turned on briefly after the swap but now it's completely unresponsive — what happened?

A brief flash followed by a dead screen almost always means the pack voltage dropped below the scanner's minimum operating threshold mid-boot and the BMS cut output to protect the cells. Connect the scanner to the OEM charger without pressing the power button and leave it for 45 minutes. This lets the cell voltage recover to a level where the BMS re-enables output and the boot sequence can complete — target at least 3.65V per cell before attempting to power on again.
