Fits Bosch 3571-0100 IFLEX OBD scanner; replaces OEM battery part number B555.
7.2V and 6600mAh capacity restore full diagnostic session runtime on vehicle emissions testing.
Connector slides straight into scanner slot with positive tab facing left; locking clip seats flush.
We bench-tested the BMS under sequential code-read cycles; boot voltage held stable at 6.8V minimum threshold.
Export all saved vehicle profiles to USB before battery removal — RAM-based storage on the IFLEX loses power the moment the pack disconnects.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch 3571-0100 IFLEX OBD — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B555)

This is a 7.2V 6600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Bosch 3571-0100 IFLEX OBD diagnostic scanner. It fits the IFLEX OBD directly, restoring full operating power for reading and clearing DTCs, running live data streams, and performing emissions readiness checks in the field.

  • IFLEX OBD platform fit: The 3571-0100 uses a fixed 7.2V Li-ion cell pack with a BMS that validates cell voltage and temperature before allowing the scanner to boot. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector, so the BMS handshake completes normally on first insertion.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge, discharge, and BMS communication cycles on the IFLEX OBD platform. The protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge cutoff and recharge initiation — no fault codes triggered during testing.
  • Pre-swap data export on the IFLEX OBD: The IFLEX OBD stores saved vehicle profiles and session logs in RAM powered directly by the main battery. Before removing the old battery, export all vehicle profiles and clear any pending session data through the scanner's Settings menu — swapping a depleted or dead battery without doing this will wipe that data.

Why the IFLEX OBD refuses to boot after a battery swap

The IFLEX OBD checks cell voltage at startup before releasing the boot sequence. If the replacement battery arrives at a storage charge — typically around 3.6–3.8V per cell — the BMS may read it as below the boot threshold and prevent power-on entirely. This is not a faulty battery. Connect the scanner to its charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on after fitting a new battery. Once cells clear the minimum threshold, the scanner will boot normally.

Wireless connection dropping mid-diagnostic session

The IFLEX OBD's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi subsystems draw additional current during active vehicle communication, and the display driver is voltage-sensitive at the same time. When battery charge drops below roughly 20%, voltage sag under this combined load can cause the wireless stack to reset — dropping the vehicle link mid-session without a low battery warning appearing first. If the scanner is cutting out wirelessly before the battery indicator shows critical, charge the battery above 50% before starting long diagnostic sessions. A full charge to 8.4V eliminates the sag margin issue entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

My IFLEX OBD won't turn on after I put the new battery in — is the battery dead?

Most likely the battery arrived at storage voltage, around 3.6–3.8V per cell, which sits below the scanner's boot threshold. The BMS blocks power-on until cells reach a minimum charge level. Plug the scanner into its charger for 30 minutes before pressing the power button. If it still won't boot after a full charge cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection prevents the BMS handshake from completing.

All my saved vehicle profiles disappeared after I swapped the battery — can I get them back?

The IFLEX OBD stores vehicle profiles in RAM that is powered by the main battery. Once that battery is removed, even briefly, RAM loses power and all stored profiles are gone. There is no recovery path after the fact. Before swapping batteries in the future, go into Settings on the scanner and export all vehicle profiles to an external source, then clear active session data before pulling the battery.

The scanner's screen starts dimming before the battery indicator shows it's low — what's causing that?

The display driver on the IFLEX OBD operates on a voltage rail that sags before the battery gauge logic catches up to it. Under combined load — active OBD communication plus the display — voltage can drop enough to trigger display dimming while the gauge still reads 25–30%. This is an early warning that the battery is approaching its usable limit under load, even if the indicator disagrees. Recharge when dimming starts; don't wait for the low battery alert or you risk a mid-session wireless drop as well.
