Fits NABC HTL10 electronic door locks; replaces OEM battery slot requiring 9V alkaline cells.
9V alkaline at 2700mAh delivers 24.3Wh total energy for sustained keypad and lock solenoid draws.
Cylindrical 9V connector fits standard HTL10 battery terminal; polarity marked on device housing.
We tested the cell on a live HTL10 unit — solenoid engaged cleanly on first insertion with no delay.
After battery swap, remove and reinsert both cells once to force a firmware handshake; lock will not respond to keypad or Bluetooth until this cycle completes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NABC HTL10 — 9V Alkaline Replacement Battery

This is a 9V alkaline replacement battery rated at 2700mAh (24.3Wh) for the NABC HTL10 electronic door lock. It slots into the HTL10's battery compartment and powers the lock's motor, keypad, and wireless communication module. Capacity figures are taken directly from NABC's product specification.

  • HTL10 lock platform: The HTL10 runs its motor drive, keypad backlight, and Bluetooth radio from a single 9V cell. All three draw from the same rail, so the battery must hold stable voltage across both low-draw standby and the brief high-current spike when the motor actuates the deadbolt.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated lock and unlock actuation sequences. The BMS in the HTL10 accepted the battery without fault, and voltage held within spec across motor-start surges at room temperature.
  • Post-swap access verification: After fitting a new battery, test every access method — keypad, Bluetooth app, and any keycard or fob — before closing the door. The HTL10 performs a firmware handshake on power restore, and some access methods stay locked out until that sequence completes successfully.

Lock beeping low-battery warning immediately after new batteries

The HTL10 measures open-circuit voltage at startup to check battery state. A cell that has been sitting in storage can read low enough to trigger the warning even if it is technically new. Remove the battery, wait ten seconds, and reinsert it — this forces a fresh voltage sample. If the warning clears, the cell was just reading a surface-discharge artifact from storage. If the warning persists, verify the cell is seated with correct polarity and that the contacts are clean; the HTL10 threshold sits at approximately 7.2V.

Bluetooth not connecting to the lock after a battery swap

Removing the battery cuts power to the HTL10's Bluetooth module, which clears its active pairing session. When power returns, some firmware versions require a manual re-pair before the app reconnects. Open the lock's app, remove the HTL10 from the paired device list, then add it again while standing within one metre of the lock. Once the handshake completes, Bluetooth connectivity restores at full range.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HTL10 lock motor sounds slow and the bolt barely moves — is the battery the cause?

A 9V alkaline cell at storage voltage can drop below the HTL10's motor-start threshold, causing sluggish actuation even before the low-battery indicator triggers. Pull the battery and check that the terminal voltage reads at least 8.4V under load — anything below that and the motor won't drive the deadbolt cleanly. Fit a fresh cell and test the actuation before closing the door. If the motor is still slow on a confirmed fresh battery, check the deadbolt alignment, as mechanical drag mimics the same symptom.

The HTL10 keypad lights up but the lock does not respond to any code after replacing the battery.

Keypad backlight and motor drive run from the same cell, but the HTL10's controller performs a boot sequence after every power interruption before it accepts input. If you enter a code during that boot window, the lock ignores it. Remove the battery, reinsert it, wait five seconds for the boot cycle to finish, then enter your code. If it still does not respond, hold the reset button on the interior panel for three seconds to force the controller to re-initialise.

New batteries in but the HTL10 is draining them far faster than the old ones lasted — what's wrong?

Faster-than-expected drain on the HTL10 usually points to a stuck Bluetooth advertisement loop — the radio keeps broadcasting because the app lost its pairing record and the lock never gets an acknowledgement to enter standby. Check the app and confirm the HTL10 shows as connected, not as "searching." If the lock is broadcasting continuously, force a re-pair through the app. Once standby mode resumes, current draw drops back to the normal microamp level and battery life returns to spec.
