Fits Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100, 200, 1300, and 2310 GPS navigators; replaces OEM part 423450AJ1S1PMX.
3.7V lithium-ion at 800mAh delivers enough capacity to keep the TravelPilot running through full navigation sessions without mid-route shutoff.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a locking tab on the left side; orientation is marked on the device housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a TravelPilot 100 unit — BMS accepted the first charge cycle without fault, voltage held steady under GPS receiver load.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after power interruption takes 5–10 minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Blaupunkt TravelPilot Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (423450AJ1S1PMX)

This 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell replaces OEM part 423450AJ1S1PMX in the Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100, 200, 1300, and 2310 portable GPS navigators. The original cell in these units degrades after repeated charge cycles, causing premature shutdowns and unreliable satellite sessions. This replacement restores normal GPS operation at the same voltage and capacity as the factory cell.

  • TravelPilot 100, 200, 1300, and 2310 compatibility: All four models run the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture and share the same physical footprint — 52.25 × 34.22 × 4.58mm. The BMS in each unit expects the same voltage curve, so one cell SKU covers the full group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a TravelPilot unit, monitoring the BMS cutoff at both ends. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without triggering overcurrent flags.
  • First satellite fix after fitting: After a full power interruption — which any battery swap causes — the GPS module runs a cold start. Take the unit outdoors and power it on before driving. First fix takes 5–10 minutes; every subsequent fix after that drops to under a minute.

GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the TravelPilot

As the cell voltage falls toward the BMS cutoff threshold, some TravelPilot units reduce power to the GPS receiver to extend operation. That reduction lowers receiver sensitivity, which means fewer satellites are tracked and position accuracy degrades before the unit actually shuts off. You may notice the map position jumping or lagging slightly in areas where signal is already marginal. Keeping the cell charged above 3.6V avoids this operating mode entirely.

TravelPilot shutting off without a low-battery warning

A degraded original cell loses capacity faster than the battery indicator tracks, so the on-screen gauge still shows bars when the voltage has already dropped below the BMS cutoff point. The unit cuts power abruptly — no warning, mid-navigation. This happens because the indicator is calibrated to a healthy cell's discharge curve, not an aged one. A fresh 800mAh cell restores the correct relationship between displayed charge level and actual available voltage, so shutoffs align with the on-screen warning again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TravelPilot lost all saved routes and favourites after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The TravelPilot stores some user data in battery-backed RAM, and a full power removal — which any battery swap involves — clears that volatile memory. Saved routes, recent destinations, and some settings are typically held there rather than in flash storage. To minimise this on future swaps, export your favourites via the device menu before removing the cell. After fitting the new battery, re-import the saved data and the unit will behave normally from that point.

Satellite lock is taking around 10 minutes after fitting the new battery — did something go wrong during the swap?

Nothing went wrong. Removing the battery cuts power to the GPS receiver, which discards its almanac and ephemeris data — the satellite orbit tables it uses for fast locks. Without that data the module runs a full cold start, which takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. Take the unit outside before driving and leave it stationary until the fix confirms. Every lock after that first one will be a warm start and should complete in under a minute.

The TravelPilot drains the new battery noticeably faster when actively navigating than when the screen is off — is the cell faulty?

The cell is working correctly. Active navigation runs the GPS receiver, the display backlight, and the map-rendering processor simultaneously — that draw is significantly higher than standby. On an 800mAh cell at 3.7V, that combined load consumes capacity faster than any single component alone. Lower the screen brightness one or two steps in the display settings; that alone reduces draw more than any other single adjustment. If the unit is plugged into a car charger during navigation, the cell stays topped up regardless of draw rate.
