Fits Falk F3, F4, F6 GPS navigators; replaces OEM battery BLP5040021015004433 directly.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers rated capacity for full navigation sessions on automotive routing units.
Connector seats flush into the Falk battery slot with retention tab; polarity marked on pack and device housing.
We ran the cell through a full charge cycle on a Falk F3 test unit; BMS stabilized at nominal voltage with no early cutoff.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after power interruption takes 5–10 minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Falk F3 / F4 / F6 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP5040021015004433)

This 3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the factory battery in the Falk F3, F4, and F6 portable GPS navigators. All three units share the same battery bay dimensions and connector, making this a direct swap across the range. Capacity figures come from the product data — 1200mAh / 4.44Wh.

  • F3, F4, and F6 compatibility: Falk used the same battery housing, connector pinout, and charge management circuit across this navigator family. The BMS handshake is identical on all three, so the cell charges and reports state-of-charge correctly without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the F-series platform. The BMS accepted charge from the OEM cradle, reached 4.2V at cutoff, and the device-side fuel gauge tracked depletion without triggering false low-battery warnings.
  • First-fix cold start after fitting: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors with a clear sky view and let it acquire a satellite fix before driving. A full power interruption forces a cold start — the GPS receiver clears its ephemeris cache and needs 5–10 minutes to rebuild satellite almanac data. Subsequent starts drop back to under a minute.

Falk F-series shutting off before the battery indicator hits zero

The F-series fuel gauge is calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile causes the gauge to read optimistically — the device hits the hardware voltage cutoff at 3.0V while the screen still shows one bar. The fix is to run two or three full discharge-to-cutoff cycles so the device recalibrates its threshold mapping. After that, the shutdown warning and actual cutoff align correctly.

Saved routes and POIs missing after battery replacement

The Falk F-series stores some navigation data — including recent routes and custom POIs — in battery-backed RAM rather than flash memory. When the cell is fully removed, that RAM loses power and the contents are cleared. Before swapping the battery, export any custom routes via the PC sync tool or note waypoints manually. Once the new cell is fitted and the device boots, re-import the saved route file to restore navigation data.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Falk F6 took nearly 10 minutes to find satellites after I fitted the new battery — is something wrong with the GPS?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery clears the ephemeris data the GPS receiver uses for fast acquisition — this forces a cold start every time power is fully interrupted. The unit has to download fresh satellite timing data from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes with a clear sky view. Park outside away from tall buildings, leave the device running, and subsequent starts will drop back to under a minute.

The Falk F3 shuts off mid-route but the battery bar still showed charge — why?

The on-screen fuel gauge is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A replacement cell with slightly different internal resistance causes the gauge to read higher than the actual voltage — when the hardware hits the 3.0V cutoff, the display can still show a partial charge. Run two to three full cycles from full charge down to automatic shutoff and the gauge recalibrates its curve to match the new cell.

Battery drains noticeably faster when I'm actively navigating versus when the screen is off — is the cell faulty?

The cell is working correctly. Active navigation simultaneously runs the GPS receiver, processes map tiles, and drives the backlit display — all three at once. Standby with the screen off cuts the display load almost entirely and the receiver drops to a lower-power tracking mode. If drain during navigation is still unusually fast, reduce display brightness to its lowest readable setting, which is the single largest power draw on the F-series hardware.
