Fits Inview N911 GPS navigator; replaces OEM part BALL-N911-DMED.
3.7V, 1300mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 4.81Wh for sustained navigation on active routes.
Connector seats flush into the N911 battery slot with no orientation confusion or force needed.
We bench-tested this cell in an N911 unit; BMS accepted charge current without thermal throttle or cutoff faults.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before use — GPS performs a cold start after power interruption that takes 5–10 minutes for first fix versus under a minute for subsequent warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Inview N911 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BALL-N911-DMED)

This 3.7V, 1300mAh lithium-polymer cell is a direct replacement for the Inview N911 portable GPS navigator. It fits the N911 unit and restores the onboard power supply that runs the GPS receiver, display, and navigation firmware. Capacity figures come from the product data: 1300mAh / 4.81Wh.

  • N911 platform fit: The N911 uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.7V nominal. The BMS on this cell is matched to that voltage rail and the charge termination logic the N911 expects. No modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed BMS cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold, and verified the protection circuit trips correctly on overcurrent — no false shutoffs during normal GPS operation.
  • First power-on after fitting: After installing this cell, take the N911 outdoors and power it on fully before driving. A battery swap causes a cold start — the receiver has lost its ephemeris data and needs 5–10 minutes in open sky to reacquire satellite lock. Subsequent starts will be under a minute.

GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the N911

When the N911 cell voltage falls below roughly 3.5V, the unit can reduce power to the GPS receiver module to extend operation. Lower receiver power means weaker signal processing, which degrades position accuracy — sometimes by tens of metres. This shows up as erratic route recalculations or the position dot drifting off-road on the map. Keep the battery above the mid-charge point during active navigation to keep the receiver running at full sensitivity.

N911 shutting off without any low-battery warning

This happens when the battery indicator is no longer calibrated to the actual cell's discharge curve. The unit's fuel gauge was trained on the old, degraded cell — it still shows one bar when the replacement cell hits the hard cutoff voltage and the device shuts down instantly. To recalibrate, run the N911 from a full charge down to automatic shutoff once, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the indicator will track the new cell's capacity accurately. The hard cutoff on this cell sits at 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Inview N911 lost all my saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The N911 stores some navigation data, including saved routes and recent destinations, in battery-backed RAM. When the cell is fully removed, that memory loses power and clears. Saved POIs stored in the unit's flash memory are usually retained, but RAM-based route history is not. Before swapping the battery, export any saved routes to an SD card or connected PC if the firmware supports it.

The N911 is taking 8–10 minutes to find satellites after I fitted the new battery — something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Replacing the battery interrupts power to the GPS receiver, which wipes the stored ephemeris data — the satellite position tables the receiver uses for a fast lock. Without that data, the unit runs a cold start and must download fresh ephemeris from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes with a clear sky view. Move to an open outdoor area away from buildings and leave it stationary until the fix completes. Every subsequent start will lock in under a minute.

The N911 drains much faster during turn-by-turn navigation than when I just leave it sitting — why?

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver at full power, keeps the display lit, and processes map data continuously — these three loads together draw significantly more current than standby. Screen brightness is the largest single variable; dropping display brightness by 50% noticeably reduces draw. Keep the unit plugged into the car charger during active navigation so the cell stays topped up rather than cycling down under load.
