Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TwoNav Delta / Sportiva Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (69019-00N)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell that replaces part number 69019-00N in the TwoNav Delta, Sportiva, and Sportiva2 handheld GPS navigators. These are compact outdoor navigation units used for hiking, trail mapping, and field navigation. Same voltage, same form factor — 52.96 × 33.64 × 5.15mm — and a direct fit to the original battery bay.
- Delta, Sportiva, and Sportiva2 compatibility: All three models draw from the same 3.7V battery platform and use the same connector pinout and bay dimensions. TwoNav standardised this cell across the Sportiva line and the Delta, so one replacement covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a GPS-class load profile. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff correctly and returned consistent capacity at the 1000mAh rating without tripping early under active navigation load.
- Cold-start satellite acquisition after fitting: After fitting this cell and powering on, take the device outdoors before launching navigation. A full power interruption triggers a GPS cold start — the first satellite fix after a battery swap takes 5–10 minutes in open sky. Subsequent warm starts drop back under a minute once the almanac is rebuilt.
GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the Delta and Sportiva
When cell voltage drops toward the lower end of the 3.7V nominal range, some TwoNav units reduce GPS receiver sensitivity to protect remaining capacity. This shows up as position drift or reduced satellite count — not a hardware fault, but a power-management response. Running active navigation with high screen brightness accelerates the voltage drop that triggers this behaviour. Keeping the cell above half charge during active outdoor use holds the receiver at full sensitivity.
Device shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits empty
A fresh replacement cell needs a full charge-discharge cycle before the on-screen fuel gauge reads accurately. Until that cycle completes, the Delta's voltage threshold for low-battery warning may not align with actual cell state. The device hits its cutoff voltage — typically around 3.0V under load — before the indicator shows critical. Run one full charge from flat to full, then discharge through normal navigation use, and the gauge recalibrates to the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My TwoNav Delta lost all saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?
Yes, and it's a known consequence of full power removal. The Delta stores active route data in battery-backed RAM, so when the cell is fully disconnected, anything not written to internal flash is lost. Waypoints and maps saved to the device memory or SD card survive the swap — only unsaved session data and some cached route states are cleared. Before pulling the battery, use the device menu to save any active routes to internal storage or card.
Satellite lock is taking 5–10 minutes after fitting the new battery — was it faster before?
That's a cold start, not a fault with the battery. When power is fully interrupted, the GPS receiver loses its almanac and ephemeris data — the orbital information it uses to find satellites quickly. Without that data, the receiver has to scan the full sky from scratch, which takes 5–10 minutes in open sky on first fix. Once it locks and rebuilds the almanac, every subsequent power-on warm start drops back to under a minute. Go outside, hold the device level, and wait — it resolves on its own.
Active navigation drains this battery much faster than standby — what's pulling the extra power?
Two things run simultaneously during active navigation: the GPS receiver at full tracking load and the display at whatever brightness you have set. Together they draw significantly more current than standby, where the receiver duty-cycles and the screen may dim or sleep. Dropping screen brightness by one or two steps is the fastest way to extend charge between the two — the display is often the larger draw of the pair on the Sportiva and Delta platform. GPS receiver power draw stays relatively constant regardless of screen settings.
