This 3.7V 1000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original HXE-W01 battery in the Xaiox Diamond Bluetooth GPS and TrapScout Bluetooth GPS-Receiver. It restores power to portable GPS navigation hardware that has stopped holding a charge. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

• Diamond GPS and TrapScout platform fit: The Diamond Bluetooth GPS and TrapScout GPS-Receiver share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail — one cell covers both units without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the TrapScout platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
• Cold-start recalibration after fitting: After installing this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before use. GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the TrapScout receiver

Some GPS receivers reduce RF front-end sensitivity when supply voltage drops toward the low-voltage cutoff. On the TrapScout platform, this shows up as position drift or weaker satellite signal bars before the unit shuts down. The receiver pulls less current to protect the cell, but that directly reduces the signal the antenna can process. Keeping the battery charged above 3.6V avoids the sensitivity reduction.

Saved routes and POIs missing after battery swap

The Diamond GPS stores some route and POI data in battery-backed volatile memory. A full power interruption — including a battery swap — can wipe that data if the capacitor backing the RAM drains before you complete the swap. Work quickly when swapping cells, and do not leave the unit without a battery for more than 30 seconds. If data is already lost, restore from a PC sync or re-enter waypoints manually after acquiring a satellite fix.
