Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ezviz CS-DP1C Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB765965P)
This is a 3.8V 4600mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Ezviz CS-DP1C-4A1WPFBSR and CS-DP1C wireless outdoor security cameras. It replaces part number AHB765965P and restores the camera's original cell capacity. Rated at 17.48Wh, it matches the voltage and physical footprint of the factory cell.
- CS-DP1C and CS-DP1C-4A1WPFBSR compatibility: Both models run the same 3.8V power rail and use the same AHB765965P cell with identical connector and BMS handshake requirements — the same replacement battery fits both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on a CS-DP1C unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, voltage reported correctly through the Ezviz app, and motion recording logged to cloud storage without interruption.
- First-install power cycle: After fitting the new cell, power cycle the camera once through the Ezviz app. The firmware must register the new battery before motion event logging initialises correctly — skipping this step can cause missed recordings even when the cell reads charged.
Why the CS-DP1C goes offline in the app after a battery swap
Replacing the battery cuts power long enough for the camera to lose its active session token with the Ezviz cloud. When power returns, the firmware attempts to reconnect using a stale token and the app shows the device as offline. This is not a battery fault — it is a re-authentication step. Open the Ezviz app, navigate to the device settings, and trigger a manual restart to force a fresh token handshake. The camera typically comes back online within 60 seconds of that restart.
App reporting 0% or wrong battery percentage after install
The CS-DP1C uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel gauge IC, so the percentage display is calculated from resting cell voltage at fixed reference points. A new cell installed at partial charge will read incorrectly until the camera completes one full charge cycle. Charge the battery to 100% via the app indicator, then allow it to discharge naturally through normal operation. After that single cycle the threshold calibration resets and the percentage display tracks correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CS-DP1C stops detecting motion after the new battery is fitted — the camera is online but events aren't logging
A motion trigger draws a combined current spike from the IR LEDs and the image processor simultaneously. If the BMS on a new cell hasn't been initialised by the firmware, that spike can exceed the BMS threshold and trip a brief cutoff before the event is written to cloud storage. Power cycle the camera once through the Ezviz app immediately after install — this forces the firmware to register the cell and set the correct BMS draw parameters. After the restart, motion events should log normally.
Recording stops halfway through a clip and then resumes a few seconds later
Mid-clip dropouts on the CS-DP1C are usually caused by a WiFi reconnect current spike rather than a battery capacity issue. When the camera briefly loses signal and reconnects, the combined draw from the WiFi radio, processor, and IR LEDs can trip the BMS overcurrent protection, cutting the recording. Move the camera closer to the router or add a WiFi extender to reduce reconnect frequency. If the signal stays stable above -65 dBm, the BMS trip stops occurring and clips record in full.
The camera drained the new battery overnight with no motion events recorded
Continuous IR LED activation during night-vision mode draws sustained current that is higher than the standby draw the camera was calibrated against when the original cell was new. If night vision stays active without motion triggers — common when the PIR sensitivity is set high — the cell can deplete faster than expected. Lower the PIR sensitivity one step in the Ezviz app to reduce false-state IR activation, and confirm the scheduled recording mode is off. Check the cell voltage via the app after one overnight cycle — it should sit above 3.5V by morning if standby draw is the only load.
