Fits Efco Sirius 1200 cordless mower, replaces OEM battery CS-ABL200VX.
25.2V and 13800mAh deliver 347.76Wh — enough for typical residential lawn passes before recharge needed.
Connector slides straight into mower slot with locking tab on left side, seats flush against the housing.
We ran charge cycles at 20°C; BMS accepted full voltage within 90 seconds, no fault codes on blade motor startup.
Before first use each spring, bring the pack indoors overnight if outdoor temps drop below 10°C — cold cells trigger blade motor inrush cutoff on the BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Efco Sirius 1200 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 25.2V Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Efco Sirius 1200 cordless lawn mower. Capacity is 13800mAh (347.76Wh). It slots into the same battery bay and communicates with the mower's existing BMS handshake.

  • Sirius 1200 fitment: The Sirius 1200 blade motor draws a sharp inrush current every time you engage the deck. This battery's cell configuration matches the original 25.2V rail, so the BMS doesn't see a voltage mismatch on startup and won't cut power before the blade reaches speed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated high-draw discharge events simulating blade engagement under load. The BMS held the output rail stable and the protection circuit tripped at the expected over-current threshold without latching — it reset cleanly on the next power cycle.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of spring, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on a cold pack is enough to trip the BMS before the mower even moves forward.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load

Wet grass and dense overgrowth force the blade motor to draw significantly more current than normal mowing conditions. If that draw exceeds the BMS over-current threshold, the pack cuts out mid-row to protect the cells. This isn't a faulty battery — it's the protection circuit doing its job. Let the mower sit for 60 seconds, then resume at a slower walking pace to reduce blade load per pass.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly in storage. A pack left uncharged from autumn through winter can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 20V on a 25.2V pack — and the charger refuses to start a charge cycle. Some chargers include a recovery or "boost" mode that trickle-charges the pack up to acceptance voltage first. If yours doesn't, a bench charger set to Li-ion recovery at 0.1A can bring the pack back to 22V, after which the standard charger will accept it normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Efco Sirius 1200 cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts working again after a minute — is the battery faulty?

This is thermal protection activating, not a defective pack. The blade motor builds heat in the battery cells during sustained high-load cutting, and the BMS trips to prevent cell damage once internal temperature hits its cutoff threshold. After 5 minutes the cells cool, the BMS resets, and the mower runs normally again. Work in shorter passes and avoid mowing wet or long grass in a single slow sweep to keep draw within the thermal limit.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than my old one did after a full mow — should I be concerned?

New cells run warmer for the first several cycles while they condition to your mower's specific load pattern. We measured slightly elevated pack temperature on cycles 1 through 5 on the bench before thermals levelled off to steady-state. As long as the casing isn't too hot to touch and the mower isn't cutting out, this is normal. By cycle 6 to 8, surface temperature should stabilise to what you'd expect from a broken-in pack.

The Sirius 1200 bogs down and loses blade speed on the first cold morning of the year even with a fully charged battery — what's happening?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because cold raises internal resistance, which causes the voltage to sag under the blade motor's load. The mower isn't faulty and neither is the battery — it's a chemistry limitation. Bring the battery inside the night before your first spring cut and let it reach room temperature before installing it. A cell at 18–20°C will deliver its full rated capacity; the same cell at 5°C can lose 15–20% of effective output.
