Fits Techline D7 cordless lawn mower, direct replacement for OEM battery pack.
25.2V lithium-ion at 13800mAh delivers sufficient capacity for full-deck cutting cycles on residential yards.
Slot connector with vertical orientation; locking tab seats flush against the mower chassis housing.
Bench testing shows stable BMS performance under blade motor inrush load; no premature cutoff observed.
Before first use in cool weather, bring the pack indoors overnight if outside temps are below 10°C — cold cells trigger higher BMS resistance and blade motor startup current can trip protection on a frozen pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Techline D7 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 25.2V, 13800mAh lithium-ion battery for the Techline D7 cordless lawn mower. It restores power to the cutting deck and blade drive system when the original pack degrades or fails. Capacity is rated at 347.76Wh — matched to the D7's motor load requirements.

  • D7 blade motor compatibility: The D7's brushless blade motor draws a sharp inrush current at startup. This pack's BMS is rated to handle that initial surge without tripping the protection circuit under normal lawn conditions.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated blade-start sequences and sustained cutting loads. The BMS held stable across discharge, and cell voltage balanced correctly at the end of each charge cycle.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of spring, bring this battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't had time to warm up to room temperature.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load

Wet or thick grass increases blade drag significantly. The motor draws more current to maintain blade speed, and if that draw spikes above the BMS protection threshold, the pack cuts out mid-row. This is a protection event, not a battery fault. Let the mower sit for five minutes, then restart — the BMS resets once cell temperature drops and current stabilises. If this happens frequently, slow the mowing pace through dense patches to keep motor draw below the cutoff threshold.

Charger not accepting the pack after winter garage storage

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months. If the D7 sat in an unheated garage all winter, the pack voltage may have dropped below the charger's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 18–20V on a 25.2V pack. Many chargers read this as a fault and refuse to begin a charge cycle. The fix is to use a charger with a recovery or "boost" mode to bring cell voltage back above the acceptance floor. Once the pack reaches approximately 20V, the standard charge cycle will resume normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Techline D7 cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a minute — what's causing this?

This is the pack's thermal protection circuit cutting power when the blade motor draws more current than the BMS allows under sustained heavy load. It is not a fault with the battery itself. Allow a five-minute cooldown after each cutout — the BMS resets once internal cell temperature drops. If it keeps happening on normal grass, check that the blade isn't clogged with clippings, which forces the motor to work harder and pulls more current from the pack.

The charger shows a fault light when I plug in this new battery after it sat in the shed over winter — is the pack dead?

It is not dead. Self-discharge over several months of storage can pull the cell voltage below the minimum level your charger needs before it will start a charge cycle. Look for a recovery or boost mode on your charger — this applies a low-current pre-charge to bring cell voltage back up above the acceptance threshold. Once the pack climbs back above roughly 20V, the charger will switch to its normal charge sequence automatically.

The D7 feels noticeably weaker on the first cold morning of spring — is this a defective battery?

No — this is normal Li-ion behaviour below 10°C. Cold cells have higher internal resistance, which limits how fast they can deliver current to the blade motor. The effect is temporary. Bring the battery inside and let it reach room temperature before the first cut of the season. Once the cells warm up, charge delivery returns to rated levels and cutting performance comes back to normal.
