Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiper Blitz Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 25.2V 6900mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Wiper Blitz, Blitz 2.0, Blitz 2.0 Evolution L60, Blitz X, and over 34 additional Blitz variants. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same BMS handshake as the factory unit. Capacity is 6900mAh — 173.88Wh total.
- Blitz series compatibility: The Blitz lineup shares a common 25.2V battery platform and connector across its models. The BMS handshake protocol and cell configuration remain consistent across Blitz, Blitz 2.0, and the Evolution variants, so one pack services the full range without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through blade motor inrush loads replicating thick-grass cutting cycles. The BMS held steady at the high-draw start spike and did not trip on repeated load transitions. Cell balancing remained within spec across the full discharge curve.
- Seasonal storage prep: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the cells have a chance to warm up.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The Blitz blade motor draws a sharp inrush current every time it engages dense or wet grass. If the BMS reads that spike as exceeding the safe discharge threshold, it cuts power to protect the cells. This is more likely when the pack is below 20% charge or when cells are cold. Top the pack above 50% before tackling heavy growth, and let the battery reach room temperature before use.
Charger showing fault light after the mower sat all winter
Lithium-ion packs self-discharge slowly in storage. After several months in a cold garage, cell voltage can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the charger refuses to initiate a charge cycle. Most Blitz chargers include a recovery or "wake" mode: hold the charge button for five seconds or consult your charger label for the recovery sequence. If the charger accepts the pack and the voltage climbs above 3.0V per cell within the first ten minutes, the pack is recovering normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiper Blitz cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a minute — what's happening?
That's thermal protection firing. The blade motor heats the pack during sustained high-load cutting, and once internal cell temperature crosses the BMS threshold, it shuts output to prevent damage. After about five minutes the pack cools, the BMS resets, and the mower restarts. Let the battery rest for five minutes, then continue — and if it's happening repeatedly, check that the grass isn't consistently wet or overly dense, as both increase motor load and heat buildup significantly.
The new pack runs noticeably warmer than my old battery did in the first few uses — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. New lithium-ion cells go through a conditioning phase over the first four to five charge and discharge cycles. During this period, internal resistance is slightly higher than it will be once the cells settle, and that produces more heat under load. Surface temperature should normalise by cycle five or six. If the pack is still running hot or the mower cuts out after that point, check that the battery bay contacts are clean and seated fully.
My Wiper Blitz loses noticeable cutting power when the temperature drops in autumn — is the battery faulty?
It's not a fault. Lithium-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because lower temperatures raise internal resistance and reduce the voltage the cells can sustain under motor load. The Blitz blade motor draws more current through that resistance, which means the BMS may throttle output earlier than on a warm day. Store the battery indoors until just before you mow on cold mornings, and the capacity loss will largely disappear once the cells are above 15°C.
