Fits Hellige Marquette MD 2000 and Monitor Dash 2000 cardiac monitors replacing OEM part 110202.
12V 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 24Wh to sustain full ECG monitoring sessions between charges.
Battery slides into the rear compartment with keyed connector orientation — locking tab seats flush against the housing wall.
We bench-tested this cell across five charge-discharge cycles on the factory charger; BMS accepted the new pack after cycle two with normal voltage ramp.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — the Marquette platform verifies battery chemistry during startup, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false fault that clears only on full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hellige Marquette MD 2000 — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (110202)

This 12V 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the OEM part 110202 in the Hellige Marquette MD 2000 and Monitor Dash 2000 cardiac monitors. These portable ECG/EKG devices rely on this battery for continuous patient monitoring when mains power is unavailable. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

  • Marquette MD 2000 and Dash 2000 compatibility: Both devices share the same 12V power rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol — the same cell works across both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the MD 2000 charge and discharge sequence. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, completed charge termination cleanly, and held voltage within the device's operating window across the full discharge curve.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The MD 2000 runs a BMS verification routine at startup — cutting power during this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Why the MD 2000 shows a battery fault after the first charge

Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged state. The MD 2000's charge IC applies conservative termination thresholds on the first charge, and the BMS may not clear its fault register until the cell has completed one full charge-discharge cycle. This is a chemistry characteristic, not a defective cell. Run one complete cycle — full charge, full use to automatic cutoff — before treating a fault flag as a real problem. After that first cycle, the BMS recalibrates its internal capacity model against the actual cell.

Device not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day. A battery stored for several months may drop below the MD 2000's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 9V for a 12V Ni-MH pack — at which point the device will not power on at all. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for a full charge cycle before attempting to power the device. If voltage has dropped below approximately 8.4V, some chargers require a trickle pre-charge mode to bring the pack back above the BMS recovery floor before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MD 2000 is alarming low battery right after I pulled it off a full charge — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS self-test threshold issue, not a defective cell. The MD 2000's BMS is calibrated to OEM cell characteristics, and a new Ni-MH cell needs one full charge-discharge cycle before the BMS accepts it as passing threshold. Run the device to automatic cutoff once, then recharge fully. After that first cycle the low-battery alarm clears and does not return under normal use.

The device shut off mid-monitoring session without any warning — what happened?

The MD 2000 runs a more demanding load profile during active ECG acquisition than during standby, and new Ni-MH cells show steeper voltage sag under real clinical load in the first ten cycles. The BMS interprets that sag as a low-voltage cutoff event and shuts the device down to protect the cell. Condition the battery with five to ten full charge-discharge cycles before relying on it for extended monitoring sessions — voltage sag stabilises significantly after break-in.

The charge indicator never reaches 100% on the first charge — should I leave it on longer?

The MD 2000 charge IC applies a conservative current limit on an unrecognised or newly installed Ni-MH cell, which causes the indicator to stall short of 100% on the first pass. Leaving it on longer does not help — Ni-MH chargers terminate on delta-V, not time. Remove the battery, let it cool for ten minutes, then reseat it and start a fresh charge cycle. On the second charge the IC recognises the cell's delta-V signature correctly and completes to full charge.
