Fits E-Mobile D25HW and Pocket WiFi hotspot models; replaces OEM battery N/A.
3.7V 1500mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 5.55Wh — sufficient for four to six hours of mixed WiFi and cellular use depending on signal strength and connection count.
Connector slides straight into the battery compartment with a single locking tab on the right side; no force needed on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in the D25HW across multiple WiFi connection loads; the BMS remained stable through full discharge cycles without early cutoff errors.
Hotspots operating on weak cellular signals draw maximum modem current — position the device in a well-ventilated area during extended sessions to prevent thermal stress on this compact cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

E-Mobile D25HW Pocket WiFi — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion battery fits the E-Mobile D25HW and Pocket WiFi mobile hotspot. It restores power to the hotspot unit when the original cell has degraded or failed completely. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.55Wh) — taken from the product specification, not estimated.

  • D25HW and Pocket WiFi fit: Both devices share the same physical cell format, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake requirements match — no adapter or modification needed to seat and charge this cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the D25HW platform. The BMS communicated charge state correctly and cut off at the expected low-voltage threshold without triggering a false shutdown during active data sessions.
  • Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: Keep the D25HW in an open, ventilated spot — not a pocket or bag — during long sessions. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at maximum output power. That sustained heat load sits directly against the battery cell and accelerates cell degradation over time.

Why the D25HW disconnects connected devices mid-session

The D25HW runs two radios simultaneously — a cellular modem and a WiFi access point. At maximum client connections, combined current draw spikes sharply. If the battery cell has aged or is a low-capacity replacement, voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold during these peaks. The BMS interprets this sag as a fault and briefly cuts power to the modem, dropping all connected sessions. A fresh, full-capacity cell at 3.7V nominal holds voltage stable through these draw spikes.

Hotspot not powering on after sitting unused for weeks

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — the D25HW draws a small standby current even when switched off, accelerating this drain. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out normal boot to protect the cell from further damage. Plug the hotspot into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge indicator doesn't respond at all, the cell has likely dropped below the BMS recovery threshold and needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My D25HW keeps dropping all connected devices for a few seconds then reconnecting — is this a battery issue?

Yes, this is a voltage sag dropout. When multiple devices are connected and the cellular signal is weak, the modem and WiFi radio pull peak current simultaneously, causing the battery voltage to dip below the BMS cutoff threshold. The BMS briefly cuts power to protect the cell, which kills the modem and drops every session. A fresh 1500mAh cell at full charge holds voltage stable through those draw spikes — swap the battery first before looking at signal or firmware.

Why does the D25HW battery drain so much faster when I'm in an area with poor mobile signal?

In poor signal areas, the cellular modem continuously increases transmit power trying to maintain the network connection — this is maximum radio draw, not normal operation. At the same time, if several devices are connected, the WiFi radio is also running hard. Both radios together can pull two to three times the current they draw in good signal conditions. Moving the hotspot closer to a window or external antenna source reduces transmit power demand and extends charge life significantly.

The D25HW won't power on at all after I left it in a drawer for a month — what's happening?

The hotspot draws a small standby current even when off, so a month of storage can pull the cell below the minimum boot voltage of around 3.0V. Below that point the BMS blocks the power-on sequence entirely. Connect the D25HW to its charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing any buttons — most BMS circuits begin a trickle recovery charge from this state. If the charge indicator light still doesn't activate after 30 minutes, the cell has dropped below 2.5V and replacement is the correct next step.
