The BMS interprets this sag as a fault and briefly cuts power to the modem, dropping all connected sessions. Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — the D25HW draws a small standby current even when switched off, accelerating this drain. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out normal boot to protect the cell from further damage. Plug the hotspot into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge indicator doesn't respond at all, the cell has likely dropped below the BMS recovery threshold and needs replacement.
