Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

I-MO Pocket WiFi C01HW — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the I-MO Pocket WiFi C01HW mobile hotspot. The C01HW runs a combined cellular modem and multi-device WiFi radio from a single small cell — so when that cell degrades, the whole unit either dies fast or refuses to boot. This battery restores the original capacity at 5.55Wh and matches the physical footprint at 65.23 x 41.98 x 5.21mm.
- C01HW power rail compatibility: The C01HW runs its modem and WiFi radio from a single 3.7V cell. Any voltage mismatch causes the BMS to cut the load before the modem can complete a session handshake. This cell sits at the correct nominal voltage and uses a connector profile matched to the C01HW's protection circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery under simultaneous modem and WiFi load — the BMS maintained stable voltage through repeated connection spikes and did not trigger false low-voltage cutoff during multi-device draw.
- Cellular signal and heat management: In weak signal areas the C01HW transmits at maximum radio power, which pushes heat directly into the battery. Keep the hotspot flat on a hard surface with airflow beneath it during extended sessions — trapped heat accelerates capacity fade faster than charge cycles alone.
Why the C01HW drops all connected devices mid-session
When several devices are connected and signal quality drops, the C01HW modem and WiFi radio both increase draw simultaneously. An aged or low-capacity cell cannot hold voltage steady under that combined spike. The BMS reads the sag as a fault and cuts output — all connected devices lose their sessions at once. A fresh cell with adequate capacity sustains voltage through those combined draw peaks without triggering the cutoff.
C01HW won't boot after sitting unused for several weeks
The C01HW draws a small standby current even when powered off, and a degraded cell can drop below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V — within a few weeks of storage. Below that threshold the device's protection circuit blocks startup entirely to prevent cell damage. Plug the unit into the charger for at least 15 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge indicator does not respond after 30 minutes of charge, the original cell has likely dropped below recovery voltage and needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions
My C01HW keeps kicking all connected devices off the WiFi at the same time — could the battery be causing this?
Yes, this is a voltage sag issue, not a network fault. When the modem and WiFi radio both spike draw at the same moment — which happens under full connections in poor signal — a degraded cell cannot hold voltage steady and the BMS trips the output. All sessions drop simultaneously as a result. Replace the cell and test again with the same number of connected devices in the same location.
The C01HW battery drains far faster when I'm in an area with weak cellular signal — is something wrong with the battery?
Nothing is wrong — this is expected behaviour, but a worn cell makes it much worse. In weak signal areas the cellular radio runs at maximum transmit power continuously, which is the highest sustained draw the C01HW produces. A new cell at full 1500mAh handles that draw for longer; a cell that has lost capacity to degradation hits low-voltage cutoff much sooner under the same load. Check your signal strength indicator — if you are consistently on one or two bars, the radio is working hardest and battery use will always be elevated.
The C01HW gets noticeably warm during long sessions — does heat from the device damage the new battery?
Heat generated by the cellular radio transfers directly into the cell because the C01HW housing is compact with limited airflow. Sustained temperatures above 40°C accelerate electrolyte breakdown inside the cell, reducing capacity over fewer charge cycles than normal use would cause. Set the hotspot flat on a hard surface rather than fabric or a closed bag during extended use — fabric traps heat against the battery. If the unit feels hot to the touch, power it off for a few minutes to let the cell temperature drop before continuing.
