Fits TrekStor Mobiler WLAN HotSpot, replaces original 3.7V Li-ion cell.
3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion delivers the rated energy for extended hotspot operation away from outlets.
Connector slides straight in with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures against device chassis.
We ran full charge cycles on the bench; BMS accepted the cell with stable voltage curve throughout discharge.
Keep the hotspot in a well-ventilated location during extended sessions — the cellular radio operates at maximum output power when devices are far away, generating significant heat that stresses the battery.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TrekStor Mobiler WLAN HotSpot — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the TrekStor Mobiler WLAN HotSpot. It fits directly into the hotspot unit and restores full operation when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.55Wh) — sourced to match the OEM specification.

  • Mobiler WLAN HotSpot fit: This hotspot runs a combined cellular modem and Wi-Fi radio off a single 3.7V cell. The replacement matches that voltage rail and physical dimensions (65.23 × 41.98 × 5.21mm), so the BMS handshake completes correctly on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under simultaneous cellular and Wi-Fi load — the BMS held a stable discharge curve with no low-voltage cutoff tripping prematurely and no thermal shutdowns during sustained draw.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the hotspot on an open, flat surface when running continuous sessions. The cellular radio pushes to maximum output power when connected devices are far away, and heat trapped underneath the unit transfers directly into the cell casing.

Hotspot disconnecting users mid-session on a new battery

When the hotspot hits maximum client connections, the modem and Wi-Fi radio draw current simultaneously at full output. A new cell with a slightly stiff internal resistance can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold during that combined peak draw. The result looks like a Wi-Fi drop but is actually a momentary undervoltage event. Reduce connected clients by one or two and confirm the cell voltage stabilises above 3.5V under load.

Hotspot not powering on after sitting in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month, and the TrekStor hotspot draws a small standby current even when switched off. After several months in storage, the cell can drop below the 3.0V minimum boot threshold the BMS requires to release current to the board. Plug the unit into its charger and leave it connected for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — this lets the charger trickle the cell back above the BMS re-initialisation voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TrekStor hotspot battery drains much faster when I'm in a weak signal area — is the new battery faulty?

It is not a fault with the battery. When the cellular signal is poor, the modem continuously ramps transmit power to its maximum output trying to maintain the connection, which can double the current draw compared to a strong-signal environment. The 1500mAh cell is operating correctly — the radio is just consuming it faster. Move closer to a window or an area with stronger signal and the discharge rate will drop noticeably.

The hotspot feels warm to the touch after a long session and then shuts off — what's causing the cutoff?

The BMS has a thermal protection threshold that triggers a hard cutoff when the cell temperature climbs too high. Combined modem and Wi-Fi radio heat builds inside the unit quickly during extended sessions, especially if it is sitting on a soft surface like a bed or bag that blocks airflow. Set the hotspot on a hard, open surface and the cell temperature stays lower, keeping the BMS from triggering. If it still cuts off, check that the unit firmware is not stuck forcing maximum radio output when it is not needed.

The TrekStor hotspot charges to full but the indicator light starts flashing sooner than expected during use — what does that mean?

The flashing low-battery indicator triggers off a voltage threshold, not a remaining capacity estimate. If the cell voltage sags quickly under the combined radio load, the BMS interprets that sag as a near-empty cell and trips the indicator early — even if the charge cycle read as complete. This is most common in the first few charge cycles on a new cell before the BMS has calibrated its reference points. Run two or three full charge-and-discharge cycles under normal hotspot use and the indicator timing will stabilise.
