Fits NTT DoCoMo L09C hotspot; replaces OEM L13 and EAC61579101 battery cells.
3.7V, 2400mAh capacity powers the L09C modem and WiFi radio for full-day portable connectivity.
Connector seats flush into the L09C battery bay with spring-contact alignment; no locking tab.
We bench-tested this pack under simultaneous modem and WiFi load — BMS held steady at 3.4V during peak current draw without early cutoff.
On first power-up with the L09C, insert the battery and power on without forcing — if the hotspot fails to boot, remove the cell and reseat it firmly to establish clean BMS handshake with the device firmware.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NTT DoCoMo L09C / L13 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L13, EAC61579101)

This 3.7V 2400mAh Li-ion battery fits the NTT DoCoMo L09C and L13 pocket mobile hotspot routers, along with the AGL29141 variant. It replaces OEM part numbers L13 and EAC61579101 directly. If your hotspot is shutting down mid-session or no longer holding a charge, this is the cell that needs swapping.

  • L09C, L13, and AGL29141 compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V cell footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The onboard charging circuit recognises this battery without recalibration or error flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on the L09C with five concurrent connected clients and active LTE data transfer. The BMS held stable across charge and discharge cycles with no false low-voltage cutoffs.
  • Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: Keep the L09C on a hard, open surface during extended use. When the device is far from connected clients or in a weak signal area, the cellular radio pushes maximum transmit power — heat builds fast in enclosed spaces and accelerates cell wear.

Why the L09C drops all connected clients mid-session on a new battery

The L09C runs two power-hungry subsystems simultaneously — the LTE modem and the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radio. When multiple clients are active and the LTE signal is marginal, combined current draw spikes sharply. A degraded or undercharged cell cannot sustain the voltage rail through these peaks, so the BMS trips a protection cutoff and the device resets. This is not a firmware fault. Charge the battery to full before the first session, then check that nothing is blocking the device's ventilation slots.

L09C won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month under normal conditions, but the L09C's standby circuit draws a small parasitic load even when powered off. After extended storage, the cell can drop below the 3.0V threshold the BMS requires to allow a boot sequence. Plug the hotspot into its charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — this gives the BMS enough voltage headroom to re-initialise. If the charging LED does not light within five minutes, the cell has likely dropped below 2.5V and recovery may require a slow pre-charge cycle using a compatible external Li-ion charger set to 0.1C.

Frequently Asked Questions

My L09C keeps disconnecting all my devices for a few seconds, then reconnects — is that a battery problem?

Yes, that behaviour points to voltage sag under combined modem and Wi-Fi load. When several clients are pulling data simultaneously and the LTE signal is weak, current demand spikes and a worn or low cell dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — the device resets and reconnects. Swap to a fully charged replacement cell and test with the same number of connected clients. If drop-outs stop, the original battery was the fault.

The battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in an area with weak mobile signal — is something wrong with the replacement?

Nothing is wrong. In poor signal conditions the LTE modem ramps transmit power to its maximum to maintain a connection, which is the single largest current draw on the L09C. More connected clients compound this because the Wi-Fi radio also runs at higher output. The replacement cell is rated at 2400mAh — the same as OEM — so the drain rate you're seeing reflects real-world radio load, not a capacity defect. Move the hotspot to a window or elevated position to improve signal strength and reduce transmit power demand.

The L09C powers on fine at home but shuts off within minutes in a bag or enclosed space — why?

The cellular radio and Wi-Fi chip generate sustained heat during active sessions, and the L09C has no active cooling. Inside a bag, that heat cannot dissipate, so internal temperature rises quickly. The BMS has an over-temperature protection threshold — once the cell hits it, the unit shuts down to prevent damage. Take the hotspot out of any enclosed space during use and set it on an open surface. If shutdowns continue below 40°C ambient, check that the battery contacts are clean and making full contact.
