Fits ACE Caracas and Caracas 2 smartphones; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 1500mAh capacity delivers charge equivalent to factory original for standard daily use.
Battery slides into the existing slot with no modification; connector seats flush against device contacts.
We bench-tested the cell on a Caracas 2 charge cycle; BMS accepted the pack and delivered stable 3.7V output under load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ACE Caracas / Caracas 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell (5.55Wh) for the ACE Caracas and Caracas 2 smartphones. It fits both models using the same connector and voltage rail. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly.

  • Caracas and Caracas 2 fit: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions (65.80 × 43.90 × 5.10mm), connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends, and charge acceptance was consistent across multiple cycles with no thermal anomalies.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated counter — preventing erratic percentage readings from the start.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a new replacement cell

A fresh cell can trigger shutdowns well above 0% because the phone's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the modem or display draws a spike of current, the new cell's voltage dips briefly below the shutdown threshold — even though capacity remains. The phone reads that dip as empty and cuts out. One complete discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and resolves this. After that cycle, the gauge tracks the replacement cell accurately.

Phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled. The charge IC on the Caracas compensates by running a little harder, which produces modest heat at the battery. This is normal for the first two to three charges and settles as impedance drops with cycling. If the phone stays hot after the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated correctly — trapped heat from a loose cover will persist well beyond break-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ACE Caracas shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — why won't it run down to zero?

The fuel gauge IC on the Caracas is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the screen or modem pulls a current spike, the new cell's voltage briefly drops below the shutdown floor — and the phone treats that as empty even though capacity remains. Run one full discharge to automatic cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle the coulomb counter tracks the replacement cell correctly and shutdowns at 25% stop.

Fast charging isn't working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge controller sometimes falls back to standard current while it verifies the new BMS. This is a handshake behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell. Let the phone complete one full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and restart it. On the next charge session the fast-charge protocol should re-engage; if it does not, check that the charge port is clean and the cable is rated for fast charging.

The Caracas won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks without being charged.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if voltage drops below approximately 2.5V the BMS latches into lockout to prevent damage to the cell. The phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.
