Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 6" Series — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi025A1)
This is a 3.85V, 2400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 6" and Pixi 4 6.0 LTE smartphones. It covers OT-9001A and OT-9001X variants. The TLi025A1 part number matches the original cell footprint and connector at 70.50 × 62.10 × 4.20mm.
- OT-9001A and OT-9001X coverage: Both variants run the same 3.85V battery rail, use the same physical connector, and accept the same BMS handshake — one cell fits all four listed models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the OT-9001 platform. The BMS accepted the charge curve without error flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell — skipping this step often causes erratic percentage readings for the first several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pixi 4 6"
This happens when an aged cell can no longer hold its voltage under the combined load of the modem radio, display, and active apps. Even though the fuel gauge reports 20–30% remaining, the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold the moment load spikes. A new cell restores the voltage headroom that keeps the device running through those load bursts. After fitting the replacement, run one full discharge to 0% and charge to 100% uninterrupted so the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual capacity.
Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The Pixi 4 6" uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the previous cell's discharge history. After a replacement, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell and the reported percentage drifts — sometimes reading 100% at 3.95V or dropping 15% in seconds. One full discharge-charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the discharge profile against the new cell. After that single calibration cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal and erratic jumps stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel Pixi 4 6" won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?
It is almost certainly a BMS lockout. When a Li-ion cell self-discharges below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage, the protection circuit locks out to prevent charging an over-discharged cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits on the TLi025A1 will accept a trickle recovery charge from a wall adapter and unlock automatically once the cell climbs above 2.8V.
Fast charging stopped working on my Pixi 4 6" after I fitted the new battery — the old one charged quickly but this one is slow.
The charge IC on the Pixi 4 6" negotiates current levels based on the cell's impedance reading on the first cycle. A new cell has higher impedance than a broken-in cell, so the IC drops to standard charge current as a precaution. This is not a fault. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle without interrupting it, and the charge IC will recalibrate its current ceiling against the new cell's actual impedance — fast charging behaviour typically returns after that first full cycle.
The battery percentage on my Pixi 4 6" jumps around randomly — it shows 45%, then skips to 60%, then drops to 30% within a few minutes.
Erratic percentage jumps after a cell swap point to the fuel gauge IC recalculating against incomplete data. The coulomb counter is still using discharge curve data stored from the old cell, so it cannot accurately place the new cell's state of charge on that curve. Drain the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge it to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single calibration cycle the fuel gauge IC rewrites its reference curve to match the new TLi025A1 cell and the jumping stops.
