Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nubia Z17 Mini — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3932T44P6h796137)
This is a 3.85V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Nubia Z17 Mini, Z17 Mini Standard Edition, Z17 Mini Standard Edition Dual SIM TD-LTE, and NX569J. It carries OEM part number Li3932T44P6h796137 and matches the original cell dimensions at 78.56 x 60.90 x 3.70mm. Capacity is rated at 11.55Wh.
- Z17 Mini and NX569J compatibility: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all variants listed without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Z17 Mini unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell on first power-on, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected under overcurrent load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings in the first 48 hours.
Why the Z17 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Z17 Mini uses a coulomb counter IC that stores a learned discharge model of the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches actual cell behaviour — the IC keeps reading against old calibration data. This causes the percentage display to lag, jump, or plateau at values that don't reflect true charge state. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycle forces the IC to rebuild its model against the new cell curve.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the new cell
This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike that the cell cannot sustain without the terminal voltage dropping below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load. The OS percentage reads mid-range, but under real load the cell voltage collapses faster than the fuel gauge updates. After the shutdown, plug in immediately and confirm the charge indicator activates — if it does, the cell is functional and the fuel gauge IC simply needs a full calibration cycle to correct its low-voltage threshold model.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nubia Z17 Mini won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead — the BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the charge IC trickle-feeds the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, the phone will boot. If the charge LED does not activate after 30 minutes, check the charger and cable first, then retry.
Fast charging stopped working on the Z17 Mini after I fitted the replacement battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
The Z17 Mini's proprietary fast-charge handshake runs through the BMS on the first cycle, and a new cell's BMS does not always complete that negotiation until it has been through one standard charge. Complete one full charge using a basic 5V/1A charger, then reconnect your fast charger — the protocol handshake succeeds on subsequent cycles once the BMS has initialised. If fast charge still does not activate, confirm the charger outputs the correct voltage profile by testing it on a known-good device.
The Z17 Mini gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell — is something wrong?
Mild warmth on the first two or three charge cycles is normal with a new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell. A fresh cell has slightly elevated internal resistance, which causes the charge IC to dissipate more energy as heat until the cell is conditioned. Charge at room temperature and avoid charging under a case or pillow for the first three cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — above roughly 45°C — stop charging, let it cool, and check that the battery connector is fully seated before retrying.
