Fits Alcatel One Touch S680 smartphone with standard Li-ion connector port.
3.7V and 750mAh capacity restores talk, text, and standby runtime on aged devices.
Connector slides straight into battery slot; locking tab seats flush against phone housing.
We bench-tested the cell against the S680 fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge cycle without lockout.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption so the coulomb counter recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before heavy load demands.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch S680 / OT-S680 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 750mAh (2.78Wh), built to fit the Alcatel One Touch S680 and OT-S680 smartphones. It replaces the original cell when the phone can no longer hold a usable charge, shuts down unexpectedly, or fails to power on after storage. Dimensions are 46.20 × 34.14 × 5.68mm — verify against your existing cell before fitting.

  • One Touch S680 and OT-S680 fit: Both model designations refer to the same handset on different regional SKUs. The battery connector, physical footprint, and voltage rail are identical across both variants, so one cell covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the S680 platform. The BMS accepted charge handshake normally, balanced to 4.2V at termination, and held the low-voltage cutoff at the expected floor without false tripping.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the S680 after a cell swap

The S680's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a fresh cell is installed, the IC underestimates remaining capacity and triggers a low-voltage shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. The fix is one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate — the coulomb counter resets its baseline against the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that single cycle, the percentage readout stabilises and early shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells that drop below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone shows no sign of life even on charge. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source (a PC port works better than a fast charger here) and leave it for 15–20 minutes. The BMS trickle-charges the cell back above the lockout threshold, then normal charging resumes. If the phone still does not respond after 30 minutes on a known-good cable, check the charge port for debris before replacing the cable.

Frequently Asked Questions

The S680 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — why?

This is a voltage cliff issue. The replacement cell's voltage drops sharply under the load of the modem or screen backlight, falling below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reads zero. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's curve, so the percentage shown is inaccurate. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate — the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my S680 keeps jumping around after fitting this cell — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the S680 stores the discharge curve of the original battery, and when a new cell is installed it recalculates against mismatched data. This causes erratic percentage readings for the first one or two cycles. Let the phone discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge fully without interruption — after that cycle the IC locks onto the new curve and the readout settles.

My S680 won't charge past about 80% since I fitted the replacement — what's happening?

On the first cycle with a new cell, some charge ICs on this platform run a conservative charge profile until the BMS handshake is fully confirmed. The cell is not faulty. Disconnect the charger, let the phone discharge down to around 10–15%, then reconnect and charge uninterrupted to 4.2V termination. One complete cycle at standard rate is usually enough to clear the conservative limit and allow a full charge.
