Fits Vodafone Mini D100 and Mini D101 smartphones; replaces OEM battery N/A.
This 3.7V, 750mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the capacity needed for calls, messaging, and basic smartphone use on the Mini D100 platform.
Connector type is proprietary Vodafone; orientation locks into the battery slot with a single fixed contact alignment — no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell in a Mini D100 unit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion and delivered stable voltage under standby and talk load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vodafone Mini D100 / Mini D101 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh (2.78Wh) lithium-ion cell for the Vodafone Mini D100 and Mini D101. It replaces the original battery when the phone no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. The cell matches the original's dimensions at 46.20 × 34.14 × 5.68mm and uses the same connector as the factory unit.

  • Mini D100 and D101 compatibility: Both models run the same voltage rail and share an identical battery bay and connector pinout, so one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on the D100 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — charge IC accepted the cell and protection circuits tripped at expected thresholds.
  • First cycle after installation: On first use, disable fast charging if the option is available and run one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Mini D100 reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The D100's fuel gauge IC builds its charge model from the previous cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches the actual chemistry. The gauge reads against an old reference and reports inaccurate figures — sometimes showing full charge when the cell is not, or triggering low-battery warnings too early. One complete discharge to automatic power-off followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and brings percentage reporting back into line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under modem transmission or screen load, the cell's internal resistance causes a short voltage drop that the BMS reads as a safe-cutoff threshold — even if the reported percentage looks healthy. It happens most often in the first few cycles before the cell is broken in. Run two or three full charge cycles without interruption and the internal resistance stabilises, which raises the voltage floor under load and stops the unexpected cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vodafone Mini D100 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

It is most likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a lithium-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS cuts output entirely to prevent damage, and the phone gets nothing. Connect it to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell, voltage will climb above the BMS threshold, and the phone will power on normally.

The D100 says it's fully charged but drops to zero within a short time after unplugging — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is still reading against the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 100% before the new cell is actually full. This is a calibration gap, not a faulty battery. Run the phone down until it shuts itself off automatically, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100% without using the device. After that single full cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage reporting becomes accurate.

Fast charging stopped working on my D100 the moment I put the new battery in — it only trickle charges now.

The charge IC on the D100 runs a handshake on the first cycle with a new cell and defaults to a low current rate until it confirms the BMS accepts the higher charge current safely. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle, not a fault. Let the first full charge complete at the reduced rate without interrupting it. On the second and subsequent cycles the charge IC increases current back to the normal rate automatically.
